Homemade Leaf BULLDOZER cut fall clean-up by 70% !! #amazing

What happens here

Brandon, the creator of the custom leaf plow, discusses its design and functionality. He explains that it was originally built for a ZTR mower but was later adapted for use with a Toro Grandstand Multi-Force. The Multi-Force's existing hydraulic lift system, typically used for a snow plow, was utilized to raise and lower the leaf plow. This hydraulic control prevents the plow from scraping the ground and compacting the leaves too much, which would make vacuuming more difficult and cause turf damage.

Goal: Understand the custom leaf plow's design and its hydraulic integration with the mower.

Tools and materials

  • Custom Leaf Plow Custom Built — Designed to attach to the Multi-Force and utilize its hydraulics
  • Toro Grandstand Multi-Force Toro — The base machine for the leaf plow attachment, providing hydraulic lift

so you you built this yep i'm stan nice to meet you what's your name brandon brennan can we go over here so i can hear you a little bit more [Applause] so you just stuck that on the front of a multi-port originally it was actually built for a ztr okay so we had it built on uh one of the cmp attachment bars that went on the ctr okay so it used to go on there and then you'd have the big handle for like a detacher and you kind of pull it up and then get it just off the ground right and which that was a pain um it probably broke after i think four or five houses because the hinges they just couldn't take it for how we were lifting it so he said all right can't use it this year and then that winter we had got a multi-force used and then we took that multiforce and kind of adapted this for that so but now the multiforce had the auxiliary hydraulics on it right because those hydraulics that are on it aren't standard by any means right so you modified the snowplow hydraulics because that's for the snow so the the hydraulics that they always stay on there for the the lift the lift is always available okay it has two extra ports for the turn of the blade for the snow plow yeah so otherwise all we do is just lift it up and down it keeps us from scraping the ground up bad and then it also minimizes the compaction as it comes into the pile so when you push with the mower it gets really compacted right when we come into the pile we kind of lift up and it kind of breaks a lot of that loosens it yep so as you suck it up with the uh the debris loader it's not as hard on the guy who's picking it up into the the box because otherwise you're trying to break a pile that's all smushed in especially when they're wet it's really bad so now one thing i noticed with it too is you have the wheels set so you're not actually like bulldozing and scraping the ground so you got no turf damage actually i want to go over and look at this brennan and it's brennan yep brennan right okay so yeah so you don't have it intentionally set on the ground yep so so the wheels guide it even when they're flat they still work yep yeah no that one got that one got taken out a couple i think a week ago it got hit by something the other one was still good but what we were seeing was originally i didn't have the wheels on it um and we saw a lot of turf damage we had one yard where we scraped up quite a bit and we had to go back and replace it it was a lot of damage and so we were like yeah let's just lift…
