Before heading out to the fields, ensure the dump truck, affectionately named 'Tater' (a 1984 International with a DT466 engine), is adequately fueled. At a gas station, add a bottle of Techron Diesel fuel system cleaner directly into the fuel tank before filling it with diesel. This additive helps maintain engine health by cleaning and preserving fuel, which is especially important for older farm vehicles that may not be driven frequently, as modern diesel fuel is prone to degradation and water contamination.
