Getting perfect cabinet door finishes! Apollo Precision-6, Renner 851, PaintLine Twirly HD. #howto

What happens here

With the HVLP system running and all safety gear donned, begin applying paint to the panel. Hold the HVLP spray gun at a consistent distance (typically 6-8 inches) and maintain a perpendicular angle to the workpiece. Initiate the spray pattern by pulling the trigger while moving the gun, starting off the edge of the panel and completing the stroke off the opposite edge. This technique ensures even coverage and prevents paint buildup at the start and end of each pass. Use smooth, overlapping passes, typically overlapping by 50%, to ensure complete coverage. Periodically rotate the panel on the PaintLine stand to access all surfaces and edges evenly, as demonstrated in the video. Continuously observe the paint application to achieve a uniform finish, free from runs, sags, or dry spots. Apply several thin coats rather than one heavy coat for the best results, allowing appropriate flash-off time between coats as per paint manufacturer instructions.

Goal: Achieve a smooth, even coating of paint on the workpiece.

Tools and materials
