What happens here

This video demonstrates the use of specialized tools, specifically the Pivot Gutter Guard and the Pivot Roof Boot, to safely access and work on steep roofs for painting. It shows how these tools secure ladders and provide stable footing, eliminating the need for expensive lift rentals and increasing efficiency for painters.

this Chris got a home painter ground paint like TV today I got a couple tools for tool Tuesday to show you introduce you to that I used on a house I've recently painted where I had a dorm or a part of the house that I could not walk on the roof because the roof was extremely steep and one of them is a pivot roof food and another one is a pin it got in a guard and the gutter guard allowed me to lean up a ladder up against the gutter so I can access the roof and I wouldn't Bend the gutter or scratch the gutter the pivot roof boot allowed me to put extension ladders lay them down on the roof securely and they wouldn't slide and it made it so I can access this roof paint the house without spending three hundred seventy-five dollars to rent a lift and the tools now they'll last me a lifetime as a painter so check these tools out I'm gonna show you how I had installed the roof boot properly so the roof wouldn't leak after I remove the device then we'll show you how I use the gutter guard so stay tuned for this video if you got any questions or comments about the tools leave them in the comment section below if you're interested in purchasing these amazing tools every painter should have they'll be down in the video description below or you can get them at our store at store not the Idaho painter calm when we sell our tools game changing painting tools and our shirts hats and gifts for painters so go check it out if you haven't subscribe hit the subscribe button hit the notification Valerie if you don't hit the notification though you won't get notified every time I come out with a new video it's free simple easy to do does it cost you anything now on with these two really cool tools for tool talk Tuesday all right I'm gonna access this roof I've got to my pivot ladder help right here and you can just install this and what you want to do is straddle on there's gonna be like gutter pins or scraps up there that support the gutter and you're gonna dis install it in between those pins so I'm gonna set it down just slide it around until I find where it will sit in between some pins it's gonna sit right there now I can just set my extension pull aside and I can lean my extension ladder safely up against that without scratching it or damaging the gutter there you go now my pivot ladder helper is installed I can climb up the roof and start installing the pivot roof boot what you're gonna need is you're gonna need a drill you're gonna need a Phillips head bit and I've got you're gonna need four screws I use number nines two and a half inch screws construction screws that I'm gonna be installing this pivot roof boot and you'll see the roof boot once we get up here we got one installed now and I'm going to show you how to install another one so come on with me and let's head up on the roof all right so I have a roof boot installed right here from pivot and you can see how I'm using it just to access this section right here and this brew food is secured it secures an extension ladder and I've got cut pieces of an extension ladders that eventually they had feet break on them or something like that and I never throw them away because you're gonna use them for something like this but you can see now I can use this thing to walk up this roof and I literally couldn't hardly walk up this roof without this here securing my feet and the roof boot is installed show you how its installed here and this section of the roof is not nearly as steep as this section of the roof and what you have to actually do is lift up your shingles and so you got to lift them up and you got to screw underneath the shingle right there that way you don't cause any type of leak in the roof and I'll show you how I installed these things it's very simple and easy to do but you just got to get get underneath a shake so you don't want to screw it right in the top of the shake I know some guys actually do that and then you can fill it like with Henry's black tar and that will seal it up but install it properly according to your pivot you've got to be underneath a shake right here so I'm gonna get my drill I've got a drill I've got my bits right here so these are just construction screws that were using two and a half inches and I got my tool bag and always keep my tools in my tool bag and these actually use not a Phillips head bit I forgot they use a star bit I believe is what you call it I'm sure somebody will correct me and say it's not a star bit it's called something else so there's the construction screw I can just lift this up and uninstall it to show you and you can just screw these things back into the roof just like that and leave them there this roof eventually will seal itself back down so show you what I typically do to install this thing I'm gonna find a section of the roof that I want to install it on wanna get underneath the shakes so I can lift them up now I'm going to lift that up and I'm going to screw my screws in and today is a cooler day so it's a little more difficult to lift up your your shakes without damaging them but I'll get it right the first one in just like that it takes four screws to go in there and I don't like to lift up my shakes very high because like I say I don't want to damage them especially you know today's a cooler day so the shakes are they're a little more flexible when it's hotter so now I've got my boot boot installed secured underneath my shakes when you remove it you can like I removed it right here you can lift up put a little bit of Henry's car underneath there where your holes were if you're concerned about a leak now I'm gonna take my extension ladder extension ladder will slide right in my roof boot and now I'm safe and secure on this roof that's how you install a roof boot we'll show you around the house where I've got some big sections where I had to access to paint the siding and the fascia and where the roof would save me so there's you know the other option of renting a lift the lift would have cost me about 375 dollars for the day these roof boots are about you know fifty dollars for a pair of roof boots so then they'll last you a lifetime so you can use them over and over and over again my job that's how you use a pivot roof boot and a gutter guard you can see down here the gutter guard is straddling there's the supports right there it won't sit over the top of a support so you just got to make sure you slide it to a point where it's in between supports but it's best to be closest to a support because there's more support there than having your gutter guard in the middle of two supports where it's just not as strong anywhere close to a support you can see supports all along here the closer to a support the less likely are to damage the gutter but ever since I started using these gutter guards I've never scratched a gallon gutter and never damaged together I'm going to show you a couple other uses for the pivot roof boot we weren't using it for the sea proof that we are on but these are a couple other hand uses that these devices can be used for and if you got the pennant ladder tool right here this is a tool that has all kinds of devices on it I'm in uses for it for leveling ladders you can take secure this thing on a roof use this to secure your ladder tool right here to help you level say an a-frame ladder or an extension ladder on a roof now I can lean it up against wherever I need to go in my ladder is gonna be level so simple little use for the device eyeball you still use these roof boots multiple roof boots set up two or three of them on really steep roofs and they're all put a 2x4 and long 2x4 slide that down in there it'll secure like a long 2x4 like 12 feet 16 feet on a seat roof now you can use your feet to keep you from sliding down the roof so all kinds of uses these are pivot tools this is another tool from pivot right here absolutely top five tool that every painter should have and it's called this one's called the ladder tool I call it the ladder leveler because it levels a ladder you can use it inside on stairways and a lot of other devices got non-slip rubber on it so it won't slip on a rope but roof boot secure your pivot ladder tool right there just like that now you can use extension ladder with love self leveling feet or an apron ladder so now we got to a roof boot secured down here and we used the roof boot to secure extension ladders on a rope but not only can you secure an extension ladder but you can secure 1/8 rainwater to it's just going to sit down and slide right down in the roof boot now you're a frame ladder is also secured very similar to an extension ladder and we use it for situations where we need really short ladders and not 24 foot extension ladders secured on a rope so another great option to use with the roof boot all right there you have it two really cool tools that every painter should have the pivot roof boot and the pivot gutter guard pivot also makes some other really cool tools must-have tools one of them is a top 5 tool every painter should have and that is the pivot ladder box or they call it the pivot ladder tool I'm not sure why but it levels a ladder you can check that out in the video description below but they make some great tools that you need to have if you have any questions or comments about this video leave it down in the comment section below I'll try to answer all the questions and comments if you have any tips and fixes yourself about how to access steep roofs get there without spending a ton of money on a left to operate a lift because sometimes you can't even get a lift you know in the areas because of grass and landscaping and stuff like that to access these roofs just leave it in
