What happens here

This project details the repair of a clogged and broken outdoor sump pump discharge line. The process involves excavating the area, cutting out the damaged section, measuring and cutting a new PVC pipe, preparing the pipe ends by deburring and cleaning, and using PVC primer and cement with couplings to create a watertight seal. Finally, the repaired line is tested for leaks and proper function.

Your sub pump can run perfectly and still flood your crawl space. Determined that I had a blockage somewhere in this pipe. Cutting the pipe here to get that blockage out. In the process my coupling whatever when this was installed ended up breaking. We're going to install some PVC in here and get it done. All right, step one, pull a measurement. 45 and 3/4. 45 3/4 Now that we got our piece cut, take a deburr tool. I'm just going to deburr I'm going to go ahead and clean this pipe off really well. I don't want any dirt, any debris. >> [snorts] >> Inch and a half coupling. Go ahead take your primer, your purple primer here. Put on pipe, put on your coupling, take your glue. Press. Quarter turn. And hold for at least 30 seconds. Just and hold for 30 seconds. I'm going to get both of these in here. Go ahead and like quarter turn this together. Check for leaks. Seems to be pumping. See it pumping right here. Fixes just like this one is why I'm building a full shop. If you like DIY fixes, a full garage build out, along with some Jeep stuff, follow for more.
