Install and Compact Crushed Gravel Base

What happens here

Spread a layer of crushed gravel (e.g., 3/4-inch crushed stone) evenly across the prepared area to form the base layer for the patio. Use a rake to distribute the gravel and then compact it thoroughly using a plate compactor. Repeat this process until the desired base thickness and compaction are achieved.
