Frogtape Delicate Surface Tape Review: The Must Have Tool for Masking Delicate Surfaces
What happens here
After the trim is properly masked with the yellow delicate surface tape and the window is covered with masking plastic, you can proceed to paint the trim. The video's initial shot (0:00-0:01) briefly shows a small angled brush being used to paint the trim precisely up to the masked line. The PaintBlock Technology in the FrogTape prevents paint bleeding under the tape, resulting in sharp, clean edges. Once the paint has dried to the touch but before it fully cures and hardens (which can cause the paint to bond too strongly to the tape), carefully pull the delicate tape away at a 45-degree angle to reveal the crisp lines without pulling off any of the new or underlying paint.
Goal: Once masking is complete, proceed with painting the trim using a small angled brush, then carefully remove the delicate tape after the paint has set but before it fully cures.
