Franky almost killed me trenching an underground line.

What happens here

The creator starts operating the trencher attachment, digging the trench. He quickly encounters a learning curve, especially with the rear-steer functionality of the mini loader. The trencher chain pulls the machine backward, making it challenging to maintain a straight line. He explains that his back wheels follow the trench, but the front wheels are thrown off course due to the rear steering. He decides to reposition the machine at corners and re-dig sections to maintain accuracy. He also notes the soil is soft, leading to some caving-in of the trench walls. He acknowledges that he's learning how to operate the trencher in real-time.

Goal: Dig the trench while mastering the trencher's operation

way they want it uh [Music] my [Music] speed it up [Music] so i think every attachment out there has somewhat of a learning curve before you find the sweet spot and this is my first time running a trencher and one of the things that i don't like to do is try to make myself look perfect i actually like to share the journey as i'm learning and kind of diving into where these things actually operate at their best and with this trencher it's no different i'm trying to figure out which way it runs the best which angle to put it at and i get this i get this dialed into the point here in a little bit where it runs so smoothly that i don't even need to be in the machine that's not an exaggeration this eventually gets to the point where i can step out of the machine and the entire thing just keeps going right where i want it to go it's kind of fun learning and i hope you guys enjoy the learning process and the fact that i don't cover any of that up as i'm going through it [Music] let's just get everybody on page with what's going on with the rear steer yeah it's tough it's tougher i mean i like the rear steer in general but right now what's happening is when i'm rear steering it's throwing my front totally away from where i want to go so my back line is following but my front line is going the exact opposite way uh so that's going to be one of the few disadvantages of a rear steer that i can see right now so what i'm going to end up doing is repositioning as i go around this corner so i can line my back end up and then re-digging this trench and we'll just have to push a little bit in and looks like we're already getting some cave-ins well that's all right that's where you went in double then it's gonna it's gonna happen it's gonna be softer too so that ain't gonna be that big of a deal you know even going nice and slow still beats digging in my hand so he he wants me to go deeper so let's do one of two things angle it down more and push the whole boom down more i want to get it deep enough that i can safely dig till grade work live
