Exercise caution when removing screws to avoid scratching the hinges, especially if they are a specific finish like bronze. Avoid tossing hinges into the bucket to prevent damage. This step ensures that doors can be painted off-site or laid flat for easier application, and hardware remains clean and protected from paint, dust, or overspray.
