First test with a new skid steer attachment

What happens here

The land rake attachment is now ready to be connected to the Bobcat S185 skid steer. The operator aligns the skid steer's attachment plate with the land rake and engages the locking pins. Then, the hydraulic hoses (two main lines) are connected to the skid steer's auxiliary hydraulic ports, ensuring a secure and leak-free connection. The operator ensures pressure is released before connecting the hoses.

Goal: Securely attach the land rake and connect its hydraulics to the skid steer.

Tools and materials

  • Bobcat S185 Skid Steer Bobcat — The heavy machinery to power and control the land rake
  • Hydraulic Hoses — Transmitting hydraulic power to the land rake's functions

that thing's pretty wild looking it's uh out of the box uh just hook up the two hydraulics i'm gonna release pressure on it shiny so shiny there we go all right at this point i don't know much about the machine but here's what i do know those center teeth are called scarifiers and you can control their depth of cut from inside the cab that's what hooks up to the hydraulics you've got a front finish rake bar and a back finish rake bar and it's designed to let you work forward and backward now i've never used anything like this and i've got the back dragging down but going forward and putting teeth into the ground kind of freaks me out the only other time i ever did this i was like 10 years old driving on a farm tractor and i impaled the front hay fork right into the ground and bent them up and broke them and felt so bad that i've never put forks into the ground since so this is a little bit of a sketchy
