Finishing Touches On A HUGE Backyard Transformation!

What happens here

Demolish the existing, outdated retaining wall using hand tools like shovels and possibly heavy machinery like a 'Bobcat mini skid steer loader' for larger sections. The old wall sections are loaded into the bucket of the mini skid steer and removed from the area. The ground is then prepared for new hardscaping by smoothing the terrain.

Goal: Remove the old retaining wall to make way for new hardscaping.

Tools and materials

  • Bobcat Mini Skid Steer Loader Bobcat — Removing larger sections of the retaining wall and moving debris
  • Safety Glasses — Protecting eyes from flying debris
  • Shovels — Manually breaking apart and removing wall sections
  • Sturdy Footwear — Protecting feet from heavy objects and uneven terrain
  • Work Gloves — Protecting hands during demolition

Pew pew. All right, we got uh this old retaining wall coming out. This is a little bit of an add-on. You know, we're we're laying all this uh beautiful hardscape here, and they got this old kind of '90s looking uh retaining wall in this area, and it just didn't look cohesive. So, we're going to tear this out, and we're actually going to install some boulders here. Wow. And just kind of reshape this, so it ties in nicely, and it looks like uh looks like, you know, like we planned it this way. So, we're going to get uh some some big boulders in here. I'm going to pick those up. We're going to get this out. We'll prep it, and um it's going to look a lot better. So, uh we'll get to that.
