Install Vertical Black Wood Slats

What happens here

On top of the installed light wood paneling, begin installing the pre-cut vertical black wood slats. Starting from one side of the fireplace opening, carefully align each slat vertically and secure it using a nail gun. Maintain a consistent spacing between each slat to achieve a uniform ribbed effect. Continue this process, working around the fireplace opening and covering the entire section of the wall where the black slatted design is desired. This often involves two people for long slats to ensure they are held securely and accurately while being fastened.

Goal: Cover the base paneling with decorative vertical black wood slats.
