Install Base Wood Paneling

Feature wall magic!!!
What happens here
Begin by observing the existing structure, which includes a black weather-resistant sheathing applied to the wall framing. Above and around the designated fireplace opening, light-colored wood shiplap or tongue-and-groove paneling is installed horizontally above the opening and vertically on the sides. Continue installing these light wood panels, starting from the top and working downwards towards the fireplace opening, securing them with a nail gun. Ensure the panels are level and plumb using a level. Repeat the process for the panels on the left and right sides of the fireplace opening, carefully cutting pieces to fit around the opening and any existing electrical boxes or mounting brackets for a television.
Goal: Create a stable and uniform base layer of wood paneling around the fireplace opening.
