What happens here
After the final coat of paint has been applied, it is crucial to allow the cabinets to dry completely. Drying time refers to when the paint is dry to the touch and ready for handling, but curing time—when the paint reaches its full hardness, chemical resistance, and durability—can take anywhere from several days to several weeks, depending on the paint type and environmental conditions. Once the paint is fully cured and hard, carefully remove all masking materials, including plastic sheeting and painter's tape. Then, reattach all cabinet hardware, doors, and drawers that were removed in the preparation phase. Finish by performing a thorough cleanup of any lingering dust, debris, or paint particles in the work area.
Goal: Allow paint to fully cure and reassemble the finished cabinets.
