Extreme Brush mowing with a zero turn!

just remember i love you because this is gonna be your average everyday mowing video daddy this spring i made a review video on mr walt lawnmower and a few of you said dirt monkey you weren't brutal enough on it you weren't hardcore enough on it so today we're gonna make up for that video and we're gonna double down and be twice as hardcore and twice as extreme as we normally are [Music] and i figured the best place to start a video like this is in a place that's never been mowed in 15 years shangri-la duke has never seen a lawnmower in the last decade and a half the easiest place to get this show started is just by cutting our path in that's kind of cool these are ice i've never used these before these are iso tunes they wrap around your neck i don't know much more about them i've i've never they wrapped let's see they wrap right around your neck i've never used them before but they got a magnet thing check this out you guys pretty rink pretty cool right all right so let's check out some of what we're we may have a few times we got to get out and off the mower i'm thinking maybe just once or twice because we got a lot of stuff like this i gotta come in here with a loader scrape all of this down clean it up re-grate it out but i don't mean i don't have to mow it first should we try to mow these trees yes stan let's try to do that that's a good idea let's try to mow these trees [Applause] and wedged i am wed let's go grab a chainsaw a shovel and some other standard tools that you'll need when you're mowing a lawn do got it found the shovel i wanted the fiskars because i'm gonna need something i can pry with instead of a chainsaw i'm going with the flex actually frankie's been using flex to build the house and uh he really likes these things these flex tools he doesn't have to use them so if he likes them that kind of says a lot now i haven't used them as much as frankie has because frankie's been working full-time here since i've been about about nine months or so we've been working on this thing so he's put these flex things through hell and hey do you guys remember that circular saw that i dunked in the aquarium and ran and then pulled it out and ran it still runs it's been five months four months not a problem on it land out on the job again huh i ain't gonna last too long around here son with a work ethic like that i said you gotta get up buckle up your bootstraps and get back to work now let's go mower i wonder if our best bet is not going forward [Music] i think so let's shovel her down a titch and see if we can't clear that out [Music] let's see what we got guys i can't leave you guys alone for a minute what you guys just don't like hanging out with me or what where are you sleeping on the job again i'm gonna tell you this is your second warning second warning i find an area that's even worse than the first but i've got to cut some pretty big logs to get at it huh gee dirt monkey why do all your clothes seem to form holes i don't know why my clothes seem to form holes and so do my skin i guess it just happens let's mow this so this one we're leaving this ain't the worst we're gonna do oh no this is the start one of you guys called me out on my first video dirt monkey you phoned it in well we're not phoning this one in we haven't even just we're just begun we just began we're not phoning it in and we just monkey well wait a minute that would be kind of cool wouldn't it yeah it's my thoughts exactly well ah well i don't know do you think it'd be safe for him no who cares we're just wanna watch we don't care what happens that's what makes it fun ufta look at that there don't you know holy hannah montana oh that boy is gonna go through there i think he's nuts he's lost a screw scroll let's see what we're getting into okay we got a few logs in here a few down across the path i think we could come in that way pretty good this way we might be bouncing a bit yeah i think i'm gonna remember any of that you know what i'm gonna do i'm just gonna pick a spot and go the wall bulldozer mode activated oh [Applause] boy you guys don't hang on worth a lick [Music] all right you guys i think this is a guys do or maybe even after some of you guys are faster on the draw but let's take a look at what we're working with here we got a dewalt z254 so that has a 54 inch cutting deck okay the parking brakes are integrated into the handle so as soon as these go back the machine is parked it's got a safety switch in the seat which i didn't know earlier think thankfully the neighbor pointed that out today we're currently mowing at 3.5 but this is how you adjust the deck right here this ball allows you to lift the deck all the way up push the pedal down and go into travel mode so now you're at the maximum height here's your pto here's your ignition switch your choke let's see what this machine is running good old kawasaki 24 horsepower this is the fs730 v one fuel tank and it's equally laid out underneath the seat some machines have two fuel tanks this one the fuel tank is centered directly beneath the operator and it's also low to the ground your battery is also underneath the seat i don't know what else you guys want to see so i'm just gonna let you do a look around a look-see if there's anything you guys want to know just hit me up in the comments down below and i'll answer your questions as best i can we need to clean this up better i think we just need to make this not look so brambly you know i planned on forestry mulching this hill but i guess all i really needed to do well i'm sorry i'm not gonna show you the blades i'm not gonna do it all right so look at the shoot the chute got shot let's take a look underneath here what do we got here guys that actually doesn't look that bad huh that's kind of crazy let's see this other one dude spindles don't look bad they don't look bent i can see underneath the other blades they don't look that bad i avoided i didn't hit a lot of concrete i didn't hit a lot of rocks i did hit a lot of brush though really thick brush in fact we shouldn't so i missed like over here i didn't i mean i did hit it some but it wasn't like and i discovered bonus flat area hello shangri-la douche has an extra level to it now i didn't know that this was level over here i actually planned on bringing a forestry mulcher in here to do a lot of these areas and i still do this is what she was mowing right here this is what she was mowing and not just one here or there we're talking about watching the satisfying pop of a horse fly oh you guys maybe didn't hear it oh that one was gross there's two on the camera one on my head i think i got this one oh oh two on my arm two did i get both did i get both really kill horse flies because i'll just come back to life one i got one horse flies are like the most durable thing one time i smacked one with a paddle boom knocked it out it bopped into the water i was gonna pull a wing off from it and throw it in for the fish to eat and it was laying there upside down before i could even reach down and pick it up it came back to like i think we got enough of this mode right now i want to get this cleaned up i am i'm going to clean this up with all these flies and uneven conditions and rocks and bit bushes and basically brush look at that god that looks beautiful that looks nice that looks nice look at this down here i don't know i think that looks pretty nice too right we still got a lot more to mow but my fuel is running low and so we'll have to wait for another day but you guys tell me would you want me to would you want to watch me do the next phase of this actually let me show you the next phase one of my buddies got a little too close like trying to get down there is not going to be very easy pretty much straight down just thinking about having frankie park his truck up top we hook a winch on then we lower something down there but i want to know what what should we test i mean this is going to be down there is going to be tough and i think it can't be something we can ride on i think it's got to be something we walk behind do we take like a gravely brush mower down there i've got one of those walk behinds down there and just see what it can do uh do we do something you know uh something else what other kind of what would you like to see me try to do down there
