Epic Install! Unveiling our NEW snowplow!

What happens here

Begin by removing the new Arctic Snow Plow from its plastic wrapping. The plow arrives attached to a skid steer for easy movement. Once unwrapped, thoroughly inspect the plow, noting its construction details. The narrator highlights its 100% galvanized frame and poly blades, which are designed for durability and longevity. Observe the integrated heated LED lights and lighted whips, designed to synchronize with the truck's blinkers. The custom 'Dirt Monkey' engraving and specialized 'Arctic' lettering with reflective backgrounds are also showcased. Special attention is given to the chain lift system, which is preferred for its ability to raise the plow higher and provide extra utility in difficult plowing situations. The internal hydraulic hoses and cylinders are neatly protected within the plow's framework, signifying a robust design. The main cutting edge is made of thick steel, while the side wings feature poly blades.

Goal: Unpack the snow plow and understand its key features and build quality.

That is a sick looking plow. Alex, is that just me or is that just [music] a sick looking plow? >> Yeah, it's pretty sweet. and the light up whips are going to be sweet with the strobe lights and everything. >> Now, since I originally made this video, I got to meet with the entire team that were in production of the original design of this thing and I learned of some eyeopening things on what they did and why. This plow plus frame is 100% galvanized from stem to stern, except of course for the poly blades and some of the other things like the wiring and components of course. Now, it's wide open is 11'8 in. And it's a full box containment plow, meaning both wings will go 90° straight on. The entire plow will articulate, allowing you to control which way your snow goes. But they did some very simple things. They built a plow to outlast the plow truck. And they said that it's actually a problem. And what I mean is they have these plows that are 17 to 20 years old that are go being transferred from one plow truck to another plow truck. Instead of people buying a brand new snow plow, they're just moving the the plow from one truck as the truck wears out. Another thing that I really appreciated about this that I did not like in the beginning, and you may see it in this video, is the wiring harness. They use a trailer wiring harness. And I looked at it and I thought that what is going on with this thing. And I talked to them and I was about to say something to them when they said something to me that made me stop on a dime and go, "Oh." See, most snowplow companies have a proprietary technology. When you clip their wiring harness from the truck to the snowplow, there's this very unique coupler system which locks you, the snowplow operator, into their very unique coupler system that they can then charge you $300 for and will guaranteed at some point go out because all of those wiring harnesses eventually do. What these Arctic guys out of Canada do is they use this trailer wiring harness system. So if your pl if your connectors ever go out, you can just buy one for five, six bucks from wherever your local Menard's, Lowe's, Home Depot, trailer store, anywhere and be back in business. You can carry a couple, three, four of these extra in the cab of your truck if you want. And if a pin goes out, you can just simply pull one pin out, put it back in, and stay in business. There's a lot of little things about this snowplow that separate it from other plows.…
