What happens here

This project details the installation of a Tesla Wall Connector in a townhome, specifically addressing the challenges of limited electrical panel capacity. The video explains the need to de-rate the charger to 24 Amps due to the existing 100 Amp electrical panel and emphasizes the importance of using appropriately sized (oversized) wiring for continuous electrical loads for safety and optimal performance. The installation involves running 1/2-inch EMT conduit, installing a junction box, and connecting to a 30 Amp circuit breaker using 8 gauge wire.

All right, so we just installed a Tesla wall connector 24 amp. You might be asking, why is it 24 amps? We're currently in a town home in East Brunswick. During the installation, 100 amp panel over there. There is certain limitations when you install these chargers and we had to derate the charger down because of the load calculation. So, as you can see, we ran 1/2 in conduit all down nice and low entow you see our box. We ran eight gauge guys for this 30 amp charger because, you know, these are continuous loads. It's always better to oversize than undersize. So, we made sure we installed an 8 gauge. Look at this nice Tesla, man. Teslas are everywhere now. I like this gray. It's nice and stealth. Stealth like a ninja, but fresh. But, uh, guys, let me know what you think of this install and this car. Would you get a Tesla? I don't know, man. It's pretty nice. They're getting nicer every time. Yeah, guys. Hendy the Sparky.
