A contactor is used to control power wiring from an exterior control source. Where do we find this in the field? Everywhere you find this. You know how many of these are around our house right now? In residential? In Of course in residential. How would How would the air conditioning turn on? Oh, it's in the air conditioning unit. >> A contactor. Okay. So, let me ask you this. You guys know what a coil is? Wire that heats up and then it releases. A coil is a just a loop of wire, right? When you energize a loop of wire, what happens? It creates a magnetic field. And that that magnetic field will pull against a piece of steel and create a contactor. Okay. >> Okay? Yeah.
