Wetting and Re-compacting Crushed Stone

What happens here

After the initial compaction, lightly spray water evenly over the entire crushed stone base using a garden hose. The water helps to lubricate and settle the finer particles within the road mix, increasing the overall density and stability of the sub-base. Immediately after watering, make at least one more pass with the plate compactor over the entire area. This final compaction ensures maximum firmness and readiness for the next layer.

Goal: Lightly spray water over the compacted crushed stone and perform a final compaction pass to further settle fine particles and maximize base density.
