Drilling a well for the farm

What happens here

Once the new drill pipe is precisely aligned over the existing drill string, the operator at the controls carefully lowers it. The second operator guides the threaded end of the new pipe into the top threaded connection of the secured pipe below, ensuring a clean engagement. The drill head of the rig then descends and connects to the top of the newly positioned pipe. The rig's rotary mechanism is engaged, rotating the drill head and the new pipe section, effectively threading and tightening the new pipe onto the existing drill string. This connection must be secure and leak-proof to withstand the forces of drilling.

Goal: Securely attach a new drill pipe section to extend the drill string.
