What happens here
To highlight stone columns or other vertical architectural features, as demonstrated in the video, install uplights at their base. Dig small, shallow holes at the base of the columns to house the uplight fixtures. Ensure the low-voltage wiring is routed to these locations, typically by continuing the trenching from nearby path lighting or by running conduit for additional protection under pavers. Position the uplights to shine directly upwards, grazing the textured surface of the stone column to create dramatic shadow and light effects. Connect the uplight fixtures to the low-voltage wiring using waterproof connectors, ensuring a secure and weather-resistant connection. The goal is to accentuate the verticality and material of the columns, adding depth and visual interest to your hardscape.
Goal: Install uplights at the base of stone columns to highlight their architectural features.
