What happens here

In cases where the copper pipe is severely deformed or crimped from the previous installation, a new compression fitting will not seal properly. Use a mini hacksaw to carefully cut off the deformed section of the copper pipe. Ensure the cut is straight and clean. After cutting, use a deburring tool (pencil reamer) and a file to smooth the edges and remove any burrs from both the inside and outside of the pipe. A clean, smooth pipe end is crucial for the new compression fitting to form a watertight seal.

Goal: If the copper pipe is deformed after removing the old fitting, it must be carefully cut to create a clean, straight section for the new compression fitting.

oh dude great okay so here's what we're looking at right this is this got completely misshaped this piece of copper and what we got to do here is we actually got to make sure that we've got enough good copper past this to put a valve back on we don't have to worry about this plate like this plate not a deal so we'll just take some snips here get that off and we've got plenty of pipe right there right no problem we don't have a cutter small enough to get to this side right here so with this vanity in place which they're going to be in place the majority of the time you're not going to be able to move this around move it out of your way right so i'm going to have to actually take a mini hacksaw and we're gonna have to just try to cut that that deformity off of there and get it hooked up oh man okay so look at that now i can just kind of get that look at that little narrow we we got that chopped out of there and we've got a pretty much straight piece of pipe right there but just clean up the burrs and we'll be able to hook that right up and you just always want to make sure you have the burr off of a pipe so we got the little whirly bird here a little pencil reamer and we'll get all that off of there oh that's a little bit too much [Music] take that edge off and now we're able to put one back in
