DIY BUILT-IN MUDROOM LOCKERS
What happens here
Use a hinge jig to precisely cut the slots for the Euro-style hinges into the doors. Attach the hinges to the doors first, then mount the doors to the locker unit carcasses. Repeat this process for all upper cabinet doors and the lower locker doors. For the pull-out shoe drawers, attach the painted shaker-style door faces directly to the front of the drawer boxes. To ensure handles and knobs don't cause tear-out on the inside of the door, use a small block of wood as a backer while drilling pilot holes. Install chosen handles or pulls onto all doors and drawer faces. Finally, apply small, self-adhesive soft-close bumpers to the back corners of each door and drawer face to prevent slamming and protect the paint finish.
Goal: Cut slots for hinges, attach doors to the locker units, install drawer faces, add decorative handles, and apply soft-close bumpers for a complete and functional locker system.
