Design. Build. Test. " Monkey Claw" - new equipment attachment

What happens here

The completed 'Monkey Claw' attachment is mounted onto a Bobcat S595 skid steer loader. The hydraulic lines are connected to the skid steer's auxiliary hydraulics. The attachment is then tested using large boulders found on site, demonstrating its ability to grab, lift, and maneuver heavy, irregular objects. The independent action of the dual upper claws is highlighted as a key feature for handling uneven loads effectively. The test also confirms the stability and strength of the overall construction.

Goal: Test the attachment's performance with large, heavy objects

Tools and materials

  • Completed Monkey Claw CMP Attachments — The final assembled attachment
  • Hydraulic Couplers — Connecting hydraulic hoses to the skid steer
  • Large Boulders N/A — Test material for grappling and lifting
  • Skid Steer Loader Bobcat S595 — Operating the attachment during testing

got anything we could pick up we got some rocks on the back let's do it thanks derek oh you do have boulders perfect so here's the good and bad that i'm seeing about the design those top grapples have a slight hook at the end and that's excellent at grabbing onto boulders and not letting them escape but that also limits the size of the boulder so if i wanted to grab a five or a six foot boulder that grapple may not be able to fully grasp all the way around it
