Dale Earnhardt's Early Days: Inside Rod Osterlund's Former Race Shop with Doug Richert! (Crew Chief)

What happens here

The exploration continues to an area revealing the building's underlying infrastructure. Here, the insulated ductwork for the air conditioning system is visible, running beneath what used to be flooring. This area was also where the original crane system was located, a heavy-duty piece of equipment used to lift and move race cars and components around the shop. Doug and Art activate the old crane, demonstrating that it's still fully functional after decades. This discovery is a highlight, showcasing the enduring quality of the original installations.

Goal: Locate and demonstrate the functionality of the original crane system and observe underlying infrastructure.
