What happens here

For the window frames, cedar wood was utilized. The bottom sill of the window frame was constructed from a 4x4 piece of cedar, cut at a 15-degree angle to shed water. The top header was made from a large 3x6 rough-cut timber, and the side vertical pieces from rough-cut 2x4s. Decorative timberlock bolts were used on the exterior to secure these elements and add a three-dimensional, eye-catching 'popping' effect to the window surrounds. The dark walnut stain was also applied to these frames to complement the siding.

Goal: Fabricate robust and aesthetically pleasing window frames using cedar and rough-cut timber, incorporating decorative structural elements.
