What happens here
Evenly spread a layer of masonry sand, approximately 1 inch deep, over the compacted road mix. This sand layer will serve as the bedding course for the pavers. Use galvanized metal pipes (1 inch diameter) as guides, laid parallel across the patio area. Place a long screed board (a straight piece of wood or aluminum) across the pipes and pull it to level the sand. This technique ensures a perfectly flat and consistent surface. Fill in any low spots as you screed until the entire area is smooth and level.
Goal: Create a perfectly level and smooth bedding layer for the pavers.
