if you want the hard Steel [Music] you guys see those what have you guys ever seen those fancy tool demonstrations at the trade shows and your jaw just drops you're like what am I looking at why has this not been in my life not this whole time well sometimes you're like oh it must be too good to be true and you don't believe it well I decided to invite one of those tool guys to my house so I could just pick random crap up and throw it at them and see how well their tools do in the real world in a moment we're going to meet Garen with Milner Hoffman tools and we're gonna do just that so let's dive into today's video hey Frankie hey can you come over here and check something for me I've got Garen with Milner Hoffner tools here he's the guy that he's got these grinding blades and all these tools that he's only I've only seen him at trade shows well I want him in to the real world and I know you have a critical eye so if anybody's gonna believe them or not believe him it's going to be you Darren Frankie Frankie thank you sir all right Frank so what we did basically I grew up using fiberglass aluminum oxide Wheels not very safe he had to switch between fiber wheels and extend firewheels and grinding wheels we've eliminated that need this does both you've got 40 grit diamond on the front face so you can use it like a grinding wheel you got 40 griddle on the edge you can use it like a cut off disc and on the back side if you flip it over and mount it that way you got 80 grit much finer grip more for like a sharpening application if you're doing something like a lawnmower blade or a chipper blade you're not going to be nearly as aggressive you got it exactly and they want they won't shatter uh so just a much much safer wheel and it'll cut whatever you put in front of it if you're cutting steel throw my earplugs in safety first if you're cutting steel [Music] I can also grind with I'm going to open up that tooth right there and I don't have to worry about that blade scattered on me throw that same blade drill concrete or cut concrete so if they're done here stuff like aluminum the body panels like Automotive as well here's sheet metal stainless [Music] even things that would melt this is rubberized flooring watch this push it nice and clean it's not melting it here's why it's not melting it feel the wheel oh wow my my biggest my hardest deal is aluminum yeah aluminum comes up and plugs up everything yeah everything yes and when it plugs up in here that'll cause these to break and pop on it ours still can't not nearly as much those clearing channels we designed it that way those clearing channels will help flake off softer things like Bondo plastic aluminum that type of thing now if it does build up too much just go to something hard if you got aluminum in there go to something harder and just use this almost like a a Brillo pad [Music] now obviously if it gets where it's too gummed up with aluminum mail it back to our shop we're in Nashville Tennessee we'll mail you a brand new and they're lifetime replacement guarantee so yeah don't ever throw it away if you wear it out and they don't wear out quick what we find in our testing as well as customer feedback you should expect our Wheels on the average to last you right around a hundred to one which you get out of normal fiberglass so I mean they're not magic you'll still wear them out but yeah just think about how long it takes what did they cost Karen oh yeah so they uh um this version right here we have two different versions this version right here uh retails for 180. uh we do it for 130 uh if you see this in a trade show or something like that okay yep will you do it for 130 for my audience we'll do it for 1 30 for your uh now you're making me do math uh what 180. is protect our sales can you show them the flush cutter did you already show them how it can flush cut ah flush grind yeah so I should point that out uh if you've seen our Wheels before for the last five years this has been our design right here it's got the same 40 grit surface for grinding same 40 grit Edge 80 on the back but you've always had to contend with the lock nut so you can only get so close when you're flush grinding because that lock nut is there now we that looks like here just this year in 2023 we redesigned our wheel and we added these eight holes okay so it takes this wheel add the eight holes that allows you now to use our turbo thread adapter which we've had for other tools for years that'll allow you to flush grind plus you can spin it on so no longer am I reaching for the wrench right you just pop that off I don't need my lock nut anymore pop it right on and then that will allow you to flush grind for instance yeah I'm done before right now [Music] see if I was trying to do that with a traditional with a traditional wheel that lock nut it would stop you you got it exactly so yeah we just came out with that new version I think you're really gonna like and it's not so much safer I mean the functionality is great but knowing you're not going to have one blow up in your face or when somebody scared me with the aluminum yes yeah I mean you could be grinding two three guys standing here it blows up you don't know who's the Unlucky guy who's gonna be taking one in the cheek or the gut or whatnot so yep that's our uh that's our we call this wheel our uh uh cutting and our diamond electrolated diamond cutting and grinding wheel this is the cutting and grinding plus so if you're on our website look for the plus the plus includes the turbo thread we grind that down when using that without changing the wheel absolutely now if this doesn't split right we're blaming your cold chisel and if you want to clean that up remember you got the flush grind so we can even clean that up if you needed to all right so we got the same grinding wheel all right so we're gonna walk up to the front of my house we're going to test the durability of this and a Milwaukee drill bit why yeah and it really had nothing to do with the brands I have a lot of respect for both uh both Brands it's the design of the bit you know I really want to explain what different designs do okay traditional twist bit is designed for softer metal that slices that's why you get ribbons when you're drilling it a bit like ours doesn't have that long Edge it files so that's why a bit like ours is designed for harder more abrasive materials whereas a bit like this is designed for softer metal so that's trying to explain the two different designs okay but what about the concrete bit Yeah Yeah another great question so with a concrete bit if you look at the tip of a concrete bit it's fairly boring all that bit's trying to do is turn concrete into dust whereas ours will do that but it also with that fine or with that lead Edge like that it can also file through hardened metals and things like that so slightly different design okay so I do have another thing that I wanted to bring up to you because some of the other editors out there are claiming that they're made in the USA when they're actually not made in the USA my understanding is that they're not entirely made in the USA no that's my that's my understanding okay and the reason people can get away with claiming that they're made in the USA when they're not made in the USA is because the ft has doesn't have enough manpower to regulate every company out there and force them to appropriately label their packaging is am I understanding that right yeah country of origin exactly country of origin yep but if a guy wants to know hey where is this made and he wants some he really wants to know exactly what's going on isn't there a website called like a uh what is it import genius I'm sure there's several like import genius.com will show you uh country of origin I'll show you the boats that that everything's on and not just for tools for anything you know uh uh it gives you a lot of information about country of origin if you really want to know where where uh where your stuff's coming from it's a great site okay so it's where the material comes from it's everything and that even though it may say made in the USA it's a good way for guys to double check to make sure that they're getting what they want to get exactly when they get it all right what's the next tool we're looking at got any broken bolts I do let's go do left-handed bits all right let's do do it sounds good it's good well left-handed drill bits clicking out with those now yes sir same materials as our right hand bit except for fluted backwards designed differently for pulling out bolts stripped out bolts and stripped out screws show you what I mean it's running in reverse so it'll back and it's designed to back
