Cheap Man Lift Project....Still Struggling | New Battery MORE PROBLEMS!
What happens here
Given the severe low voltage from the old lead-acid batteries, the presenter decides to replace them with new Temgo 51.2V 100Ah LiFePO4 batteries. He explains that the original setup used eight 6-volt lead-acid batteries wired in series to achieve 48 volts, making them very heavy. The new LiFePO4 batteries are much lighter and more compact. He opens the battery compartments of the Genie lift and disconnects the existing lead-acid batteries, noting the extensive wiring for the series connection. He also disconnects a plug for one of the battery banks. He physically removes all eight heavy lead-acid batteries. The new Temgo batteries come with a dedicated charger and a voltmeter/charge indicator.
Goal: Remove old lead-acid batteries and prepare for new LiFePO4 battery installation.
