Called in the big guns @downtoearthstone.llc for this waterfall kitchen island!! Looking sleek!!

What happens here

The installer uses a caulk gun to apply a bead of construction adhesive or sealant along the vertical joint where the two engineered stone slabs meet. He then applies another bead where the bottom edge of the slab meets the deck, and along the vertical seam where the slab meets the wooden frame. This ensures both structural integrity and a watertight seal.

Goal: Create strong and watertight vertical connections between slabs and the base

Tools and materials

  • Caulk gun — Applying the construction adhesive/sealant
  • Engineered stone slabs — The main components being joined and sealed
  • Wooden frame — The underlying support structure for the countertop
  • Construction Adhesive/Sealant — Bonding and sealing the seams between slabs and to the deck/frame
