Buyer Beware! Watch this before buying a mower!

What happens here

The video discusses the EGO commercial zero-turn mower, highlighting its purpose-built design for commercial use and its distinct components from residential EGO products. It features an 8-gauge reinforced steel deck and a suspension seat. The mower is powered by high-capacity EGO batteries, which can be interchanged with a portable Power Bank for additional versatility. It also includes a DC-to-DC charger to power other handheld EGO tools directly from the mower. The system offers 4G connectivity for fleet management and monitoring, allowing customization of charging parameters. The host, however, expresses personal concerns about EGO's current leadership and past issues with their battery-powered equipment, including non-functional batteries and difficulty with repairs.

Goal: Review the EGO Commercial Zero-Turn mower and its battery system, while also discussing past reliability concerns with the brand.

>> Now, next up is Eagle. And I used to recommend Eagle, but I no longer recommend Eagle for a number of reasons. The leadership that originally built Ego and took it from a Z corporation to a billiondoll corporation has since left the company. So, the original leaders that made Ego great are no longer running the helm. And there's a new bunch of leaders that are in there that I personally have zero confidence in working with. When I originally worked with Eagle, they used to give me equipment without telling me anything to do with it except destroy it and document it. And they never tried to control or manipulate anything I ever said at all. It was amazing the level of confidence that they had in their equipment. But since then, the new leadership that's taken over is completely different. And I don't know if the equipment they're manufacturing is still up to the original standards of when the original leaders were in place. And in fact, I've had a number of problems with my EGO equipment. I have four com I have four batterypowered lawnmowers, of which two no longer operate. I have the Ego dirt bike which put 300 miles on it and it no longer operates. I have a whole slew of batteries in my barn that don't work anymore. And I there you can't repair these things. The beautiful part about gas operated equipment is you could take a wrench and you can rec clean a carburetor. You can replace filters. You can do a lot of the things you want. But a lot of the stuff with these batterypowered mowers, you can't do that with these anymore. You just you're so basically when it comes to doing any repairs. Now, I'm still going to show you the clip that I took. This was back in the day on these Eagle lawnmowers because if you are still interested in it, the benefit of a battery powered lawnmower is ease of maintenance. They are you just hop on and go. But that's also one of the detriments to them because you never have an opportunity to keep that lawnmower running into perpetuity. What I mean is I used to have my we grew up with a gas snowb blower way back in the day and we got 15 years out of that snowblower because we could do all of the maintenance and the work on it and keep things humming with it. With these, when something goes wrong, you might as well be a deer in headlights just looking blank like, "How do I fix this?" and trying to repair my Eagle lawnmower. I contacted the actual engineers at Ego because I still knew them and I couldn't get anywhere with…
