Some people have said these are orange and [music] white fairest mowers. The nice thing about this stand on is in a 60 in you're talking a price point under $8,000. >> Where where are you guys looking at? All right, let's look up here. All right. >> We want to keep guys on the grass and we have a 5year 1500 hour warranty with a limited lifetime warranty on the deck and frame. Are you telling me this is the same battery that goes in your tool system as well? >> Absolutely. So, you take a look chainsaw demo over there, the blower experience can be a fickle mistress. And basically what I mean is my job on this channel has never been to tell you what to buy. But sometimes when I've had a bad experience, you also know that I've never held back from you guys, no matter what. And one of the lawnmowers that you're going to see today, I would never recommend to you again. And I say again, meaning I have in the past, but my personal experience has proven to me otherwise. So, without wasting more time, let's dive into this video and get things rolling. >> All right, guys. Here's a brand new line of mowers. And these are called the Encore, right? >> That's correct. >> And I'm with Ross and they make both a zeroturn and a standown mower. >> That is correct. They make a zero turn and a stand on in width from 48 in up to 60 in. >> Um, so the standown comes 48, 52, and 60 in. The nice thing about this standon is in a 60-in, you're talking a price point under $8,000. It is comparable to everything on the market. It's a good heavy duty deck. It's a three-year warranty, bumper to bumper, 10-year warranty on the deck, >> and it runs a Kawasaki power >> motor with Parker transmissions in it. >> Okay. >> Our zero turns. We go from there. We go from a price point of 6,000 up to 10,000. But the nice thing about this unit here with a Kawasaki motor, 5,400 hydrogeear transmissions, suspension seat, full electric deck lift up and down. Price point under $12,000. >> Boy, you can't. >> Built in, Nebraska. >> Americanade. Wow. Can't beat that. All right, next up we're going to be looking at something that isn't a lawnmower, but it's an air raator. And I believe air raators are a great way to add additional income into your existing lawnmowing base, customer base. But all not all air raators are made the same. I have an air raator and although it's a good unit, I think the one we're going to see right here may be top of the top of the line, top of the industry, so to speak. Now, I have never personally ran this one, but everything I've heard about it and seen about it tells me that there's a lot of thought that went into this design of this unit. And if you have ran this unit, I'd love to hear your experience on it. Let me know in the comments down below. >> Buddy. >> Oh, hey. All right. I got to ask you cuz I've been curious. Guys, this is from Top-Notch Equipment. He has PTSD from snowplowing. >> Yep. How did you guys hand How did you handle that last 15 and 1/2 in 18inch snowstorm we got? >> I was in Florida. >> Okay. So, you handled it well. >> Yeah. Uh I drank beers and uh didn't sleep awake. >> So, you drank beer and didn't sleep cuz you were worried about your crew back in Minnesota. >> Yeah. And but they did fine. >> Where's your booth? >> Uh right over by the lift up in the air. >> Are you going there now? >> Yep. Oh, I'm going to follow you. >> Sounds good. This is about the only newest thing that we've are taking on as a line. We've had them before through a different distributor and that distributor stopped using or tearing the line >> but is one of the best air raators on the market standons >> because it's it doesn't use any change to turn the um airator. >> Okay. >> Uh so it's all direct drive. >> Does it have a split shaft in the center? So >> so you can turn with it and do all kinds of things. >> So what we're actually talking about is let's go underneath here and I kind of want to show you guys. It might be a little. >> And then these ones are the driving ones. >> So these are the driving ones. The center one spins freely. So they've actually got it divided into three. >> The other ones that I've seen uh they will um where where are you guys looking at? All right. Let's look up here. All right. So, the other ones that I've seen will have the the uh the air raiders actually divided in the center. So, >> half goes one way, half goes the other way. >> This one's divided into uh three ways. What kind of power plant you run? A good old Kawasaki. >> Nice. >> This is a a cedar that they just uh adapted and came out with. So, that's kind of new for this machine. >> All right. >> Very cool. All right. And topnotch equipment. all there in Rogers, Minnesota. Uh if you guys are looking for equipment, they ship nationwide. >> All right, you guys. We're looking at the new mowers by Steel. And some people have said these are orange and white Fairest mowers, and they're actually not far from being wrong. But there are a few critical differences with these that we should point out. The steel mowers do have bigger tires. They do have different hydros. The steel does have a USB port on them, but one of the other differences is the service. With a steel dealer, you get great service. And that means you can go into a steel dealer, have your mower serviced, and you can walk out with it ready to go instead of going to different various dealers to get things. >> All right. Now, Steel also has a line of battery powered mowers as well. And I don't recommend them. I don't have anything against them. I don't have any personal experience with them, but my experience with battery powered mowers has not lived up to the hype. And so I'm going to in general now shy away from battery powered mowers. And next you're going to see another battery powered mower. But coming up down the line in this video, there's a line of battery powered mowers that I'm going to tell you very specifically why I recommend against them from personal experience. Now, this next one you see, I don't have any personal experience with this next B line of battery powered mowers, and they may be perfectly fine, but from what I have experienced in the past, you're not going to see me going out and putting my money down on a battery powered mower again. >> So, guys, this is just right. If you say his name fast enough, it sounds like just right. So, how are you, Jess? >> I'm wonderful. Nice to meet you. >> Nice to meet you. >> Uh, so this is our brand new 54 in ZTR. um all battery powered. So it's uh powered by an 80 vol battery. You see here it's a 10 a hour 80 volt battery. This comes packed with three of them. And then you have supplemental you have supplemental 40 volt batteries. So we we've for a long time have had handheld battery powered equipment. Um so what this allows you to do is extend your run time. So you're getting up to 4 acres of run time. Are you telling me this is the same battery that goes in your tool system as well? >> Absolutely. So, you take a look at the chainsaw demo over there, the blower head trimmer, everything there. Over 75 products that run off of that same battery. Now, you can use it to supplement the run time in your mower itself. >> And you've got a joystick control on the side. >> Correct. >> This is something new. >> Correct. Right. Okay. >> Correct. So the thought here is, you know, if we look at the consumer market, um, I think there's a lot of folks who inherently are a bit intimidated by the traditional paddle shifters. This gives them all the maneuverability, all the controls that you get and the time savings from a traditional ZTR and something that's a little more straightforward. >> And Jess, this is out now. >> Correct. Out. >> All right. And that's new by Ryobi, >> correct? Home Depot.com. >> There you go. Thanks, Jess. Much appreciated. So, let's see what these guys are up to with this thing. your first test run on these things. >> Yeah. >> What do you think of them? >> Think it went smooth. >> Yeah. >> Smooth grind. >> Does this mower remind you of anything? >> Kind of a ferris a little bit. >> It does. It does. in the way the steel wraps say that it is a fairest framed motor but built to steel specifications and qualifications quality standards I think is what they told me and I'm just watching and repeating it to you >> yeah very reminiscent of one I like it >> all right next up is a relatively new brand into the market now since I shot this video with them they have I believe changed the name of their company but the company that built builds this lawnmower brand also builds equipment trailers and truck bodies. So, they have a lot of experience in the manufacturing end of things. And the truck bodies and equipment trailers they build are actually pretty good, which gives me more confidence in this uh brand than if it was just some noob coming off from the street that building lawnmowers out of their garage. These guys have a ton of realworld experience that they can apply to this lawnmower. But that doesn't mean I'm going to tell you I recommend it because I don't. I have never ran one of these. I can't tell you how good they are in real world practical applications. I can just tell you that they come from a background of manufacturing. So at least the quality of the build should be there. Whether that's intentional or by accident, at least they know what they're doing when it comes to building something. But Patrick, why would we even consider your brand when there's already established companies making mowers out there? >> Well, I'd say it comes down to our product research. And we took all different brands and we took them apart, tested them, and saw what we liked best. >> We put that to work on these machines. That comes down to high quality components using tapered roller bearings with our spindles and with our forks and we use the highest quality steel 7 gauge on our decks doubled at many places. >> Yeah. But are you in are you guys new in the industry? >> No. Well, we we're new in the mower industry, but we have experience with engineers that have come from other companies with decades of experience building mowers, and they got a clean sheet to work with where they got the ar company of of >> Absolutely. >> What's the name of your trailer company? >> Northstar and Iron Bull Trailers. >> Okay. So, how long has that been around? >> That company's been around for like 10 years, but they've been in the trailer industry, the family who owns this for over 30 years. >> 30 years. Okay. So, you're not just some new kid on the block that just decided to start making mowers in their garage, start selling it out. You taken the skill sets that have helped you build trailers after trailer after trailer. Absolutely. >> And applied it to a mower cuz you seen a hole in the market or what? You tell me. >> We saw an opportunity and uh where a lot of companies are going away from family dealers and hometown where that's where we're from. We're a family company and we love working with family dealers and family landscapers and we want to make a big impact. We're the only manufacturer of mowers out of Texas and in Texas we like to make them big and strong. >> So you guys are 100% Americanmade. >> We do some fabrication on our uh frames in Mexico. We have a plant in Mexico and we also have a plant in Texas. Okay. So, we do a lot of finishing and uh putting together in Texas >> as we do in our trailers. We make them. And >> where would guys find out more information, Patrick? >> It's going to be www.mh awk.com. >> Mohawk Awk.com. >> That's it. >> All right. Thanks, Patrick. Last thing. >> Yes, sir. [music] Do you have a warranty to back this stuff up so a guy isn't getting broke down and worrying about taking care of it if he's bought a brand new mower? >> Absolutely. That's key. You know, we want to keep guys on the grass. And we have a 5year, 1500 hour warranty with a limited lifetime warranty on the deck and frame. We want this to serve you for many years and bring money to your company. >> All right. Thank you, sir. >> You got it. >> All right, guys. Let's keep >> Now, next up is Eagle. And I used to recommend Eagle, but I no longer recommend Eagle for a number of reasons. The leadership that originally built Ego and took it from a Z corporation to a billiondoll corporation has since left the company. So, the original leaders that made Ego great are no longer running the helm. And there's a new bunch of leaders that are in there that I personally have zero confidence in working with. When I originally worked with Eagle, they used to give me equipment without telling me anything to do with it except destroy it and document it. And they never tried to control or manipulate anything I ever said at all. It was amazing the level of confidence that they had in their equipment. But since then, the new leadership that's taken over is completely different. And I don't know if the equipment they're manufacturing is still up to the original standards of when the original leaders were in place. And in fact, I've had a number of problems with my EGO equipment. I have four com I have four batterypowered lawnmowers, of which two no longer operate. I have the Ego dirt bike which put 300 miles on it and it no longer operates. I have a whole slew of batteries in my barn that don't work anymore. And I there you can't repair these things. The beautiful part about gas operated equipment is you could take a wrench and you can rec clean a carburetor. You can replace filters. You can do a lot of the things you want. But a lot of the stuff with these batterypowered mowers, you can't do that with these anymore. You just you're so basically when it comes to doing any repairs. Now, I'm still going to show you the clip that I took. This was back in the day on these Eagle lawnmowers because if you are still interested in it, the benefit of a battery powered lawnmower is ease of maintenance. They are you just hop on and go. But that's also one of the detriments to them because you never have an opportunity to keep that lawnmower running into perpetuity. What I mean is I used to have my we grew up with a gas snowb blower way back in the day and we got 15 years out of that snowblower because we could do all of the maintenance and the work on it and keep things humming with it. With these, when something goes wrong, you might as well be a deer in headlights just looking blank like, "How do I fix this?" and trying to repair my Eagle lawnmower. I contacted the actual engineers at Ego because I still knew them and I couldn't get anywhere with them. So, I don't have confidence in that company anymore. And I will not, you haven't seen me make any videos about them and I'm not here to throw them under the bus. I'm just here to blatantly tell you why you won't see me promoting them at this point. But let me just show you what I had filmed back in the day on these. >> Take it away, Jacob. What are we looking at with this? >> So, part of our new commercial line, going all in on commercial is with zero turns. And we have a stand up over there. We'll show you in a second. So, >> when you say commercial, you say this is not meant the residential homeowner. This is meant for the guy that makes his living every single day running this machine. >> This is purposebuilt for commercial. We don't share any parts in the residential that we already familiar with to the commercial. So, this is all out everyday use kind of deal. So, >> tell me about this. >> This is a 60 in. Uh, we have a 48, we have a 52 down there, and we also have that stand up. Comes in the same deck sizes, but suspension seat on it, 8 gauge reinforced deck, captive, you know, handy scalp wheels, the whole nine yards. But what's nice about this is like anything on our platform is our batteries are kind of our bread and butter there. So this you have your high-capacity batteries. You can pull this out. >> Then you can take the same battery, put it in our PGX power bank. So now you're adding more versatility to this. And this is scalable. That's our whole solution or commercial solution. It's just a scalable solution. So as we have our PGX that we released last year that um that you know you can start off with just a few batteries or you can go higher. You can scale this up as many as you want. So extra run time you add it. Now you have the different sizes here, but you also have a standon mower coming out. >> Stand up. Same sizes there. Uh what's nice about this, you have the DC toDC charger, which I didn't get on there. You have the DC toDC charger on this one. We can't touch this one. This is a little bit earlier prototype there. But um what we also have on it is a E to0 where it's um you can actually take that come off. You can actually take that and actually power other add-on attachments that we're gonna have in the future. >> So, this is going to turn Let's go this way. >> So, this is going to turn into a tool carrier. >> You don't really want to. >> Yeah, exactly. And uh even like be able to the the capability of power and like blowers. A lot of a lot of guys and girls use this stand up. They have a blower on them. So, this is uh going to take that power that we already have from those batteries, reduce the weight of our our existing like awesome blowers and um be able to use that. So now will this unit that you have over here charge the handheld batteries? >> This unit? >> Yeah. No, this this right here. >> So this is like the fuel tank that you can charge up your handheld batteries and keep going out on the site. >> Yeah. And if you notice, this also has it. So you're taking energy from the bigger batteries, the high capacity batteries, and you can put it into our smaller Power Plus battery. So you can go out there, load up this, you even have a spot to add another one kind of like right here as a storage kind of with this open. But yeah, you can take that power from the high capacity and then put it into your uh smaller. >> Well, if I'm I need to understand this if I'm I'm getting this right, Jacob. Is this emergency backup power? >> This does not power the unit. This is to power your small handhelds. >> So you're while you're mowing, you're charging your battery up. >> Yeah. So this is our quickest charger. So this will charge like a 5 amp hour battery in around 20 minutes or so. And you can set this so many parameters on this system where if you want it to charge to 80% where it charges the quickest, you can do that with our fleet manager app. So what ties all this commercial stuff in is our fleet manager app which Scottley over there is our expert in that. So >> okay, >> so this is 4G capable too. So this acts as like a hub. So yeah, all your other commercial tools will actually talk to this machine when it's out in your trailer. They have to be 100 m away kind of deal or >> So I had I had no clue that your mower will actually charge the batteries for your tank. >> Oh yeah, absolutely. What we're trying to do is add more value in these high capacity batteries and our GO platform and this is going to help her do it with that DC toDC charge. >> Okay. All right. Thanks, J. >> No worries. Thank you.…
