Building An Outdoor Bar! INSANE BACKYARD Pt 14

What happens here

After the column trim is installed, add a base trim around the bottom of each column. Use 5.5-inch composite decking boards for this. To achieve a clean, seamless look without gaps, you can create a 'shoe molding' detail: lightly score and chisel off a small portion from the back bottom edge of the base trim board. This allows the trim to sit flush against the column and the base, creating a subtle reveal and hiding any irregularities. Secure these base trim pieces with screws.

Goal: Add a decorative and finished base trim to the columns
