Building A Roof Cricket - This Part Is SUPER Important!
What happens here
Take a long wooden board and position it against the existing house wall and the new roof deck. Use a pencil to mark the angle where the board meets the roof deck and the angle against the house wall. This marked board will serve as a template for cutting the sloped components of the cricket. Repeat this process for the opposite side of the valley to create two identical or mirror-image frame boards.
