What happens here

This video provides a practical demonstration of efficiently cutting a long composite deck board for use as a stair riser. By leveraging the inherent tolerance provided by the deck tread's thickness, the presenter employs a freehand circular saw technique, avoiding the need for more complex tools like a table saw or extensive setup, thus saving time and effort.

what's up everybody Tony here and I'm going to share some knowledge with you on efficiency and share a little Insider secret with you so I have this decorator 7 and a qu board and it's going to be installed for my riser for my steps it needs to be ripped down to 7 in but with my tread being about an inch thick I have a tolerance there so instead of grabbing a table saw and maybe grabbing somebody to help me with it because this is a 12T long board and this material isn't as easy to work with I'm just going to use my circular saw to cut it because of that tolerance I have I'm going to mark my board I'm going to go 6 and 3/4 I'll square a line just as a reference and then I'll just cut it here's The Insider secret I don't have a line across this board so what I'll do is I'll just take my hand rest it against the deckboard pinch the plate of my circular saw and then just go let's see how I did 6 and 9/16 it's all right life goes on so now that we have it installed you can notice I do have that Gap there it's not perfectly tight to the top of my Stringer but this is my tread and once your Treads installed you'll never know that the gaps there know your tolerances and be efficient
