Building A RECESSED TV WALL On A Deck!

What happens here

Stand the assembled bottom plate in its marked position on the deck. Begin installing vertical wooden studs (2x4s) at regular intervals, typically 16 inches on center, by nailing them to the bottom plate using a nail gun. Continue by installing a top plate, identical to the bottom plate, to connect the upper ends of the vertical studs. Ensure the frame is plumb and square. The builder explains that the TV will be recessed by building a second, shallower wall in front of the deeper back wall, creating an 'extension jamb' effect for the TV section, allowing for a finished face that extends beyond the TV.

Goal: Build the structural frame for the recessed TV wall.
