BluePrint Engines Factory Full Tour & Behind The Scenes: Engineering Dept and R&D Zone! (Its Wild)

What happens here

The engineer then presents an FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) 3D printer, which creates physical prototypes by extruding plastic filament layer by layer. This machine, seen printing a small component, takes the plastic filament (similar to weed eater line), melts it, and deposits it precisely to build up the object. After printing, parts can be further refined or combined with other elements for assembly and testing.

Goal: Understand the operation of an FDM 3D printer for creating plastic prototypes.

Tools and materials

  • 3D Printed Part — The object being printed
  • FDM 3D Printer Dimension — Extruding plastic filament to create 3D objects
  • Plastic Filament Spool — The raw material for 3D printing

so this is the printer that makes the parts that were on the table over there it's an fdm style 3d printer which basically means there's a real plastic in there it's almost like weed eater line and it just takes the line from here feeds it up it's like a extruder up at the top and it heats it up almost like a hot glue gun and then just spews out a layer at a time like 10 000 thick and builds it it's like what's this thing do here so this thing is our ferro probe arm so it's similar to our cmm except for this one's a human operated version so it's not quite as accurate
