Biggest CARPORT BUILDING I'VE EVER SEEN!! Will it hold up?? Hmmm

What happens here

The presenter and Tony (the owner) provide specific details about the building's dimensions: 84 feet wide by 55 feet long, with two 12-foot by 55-foot lean-tos. The construction type is described as a 'skeleton square tubing building' with welded trusses, designed to withstand high winds (150 mph). The exterior features vertical metal siding, which costs more than horizontal siding. Inside, the wall panels are screwed onto 4-foot on-center steel supports. The presenter notes that the outer walls and roof will be insulated with spray foam. He expresses concerns about the door's threshold being a tripping hazard and the use of economy-type foam-filled plastic doors (like a mobile home door). A generator is briefly visible in one of the lean-tos, but no discussion occurs regarding its enclosure or sound attenuation. The estimated cost for the building structure before insulation, electrical, or plumbing is approximately $200,000, equating to about $10 per square foot for the concrete. Tony also had to provide a man lift, which is an additional cost for the building's erection.

Goal: Explain the building's structural details, materials, and associated costs

all right guys welcome to tony's farm so this is tony's place thanks for having me appreciate it um what we've got going here is what a 55 by no it's 84 by 55 84 by 55 84 wide 55 long gotcha with with two lean twos that are 12 feet long and 55 feet deep correct awesome awesome tony has kindly requested not to be on camera so much even though he's a super fan of the channel so i would be of that yeah tony's from new zealand that's why he talks funny or do i talk funny you talk funny actually you listen funny i may talk running there you go i listen funny so we're gonna go over here we're gonna take a look at this and check it out and walk you through what everything is in this building all right guys as you can see this is a mega shop this is an awesome awesome building the only thing that i think tony's gonna regret is not having a roll-up door on the ends of these lean tooths because i think he's gonna want to put some stuff in there so what we've got here is not a red iron type steel building and not a standard type steel building and not a pole barn this is kind of a hybrid it's a what i call a skeleton square tubing building so this is set up built on square tubing that tubing is what holds the skeleton up right here and the trusses on the top are welded so you've got your trusses and i believe they're on four foot centers i'm not positive but i do believe they're on four foot centers there are several options you can get when you build one of these buildings you can have horizontal this way or vertical metal on the outside it costs more to have the vertical metal on the outside so we're going to go inside this building we'll talk a little bit about it kind of walk you through man this thing is absolutely huge holy cow and just getting the perspective of how big this building is is just something pretty awesome i do believe these are on four foot centers and again that is a welded truss right there and the welded trusses are bolted together in the very center up here and that's what holds everything together so i think this thing is designed and correct me if i'm wrong to withstand a 150 mile an hour wind and we don't get winds like that very often here in the blue ridge mountains in north carolina so let's go into one of these lean twos and you can see this is what the inside wall is going to look like those outside walls and the roof will be insulated with spray insulation by the time this building is done so this is just getting a start here okay so…
