if you own a yeti cooler you gotta put ice in a yeti cooler if you own a lion cooler you've eliminated the need to go buy ice hey there folks this is josh stoney ridge farmer welcome back to another tool tuesdays here on the stoney ridge farm this is a different tool tuesday than i've ever done this is a pretty cool cooler that i want to show you guys it's the coolest cooler coolest cooler i've ever seen this is called a line cooler and it is a battery powered cooler setup this thing has been running out here all night long and it's at 29 degrees right now it's been running since six o'clock yesterday and it's 9 30 in the morning the next day it's still running here without a charge and it's 29 degrees inside so come along as we show you the coolest cooler i've ever seen here on tool tuesdays on the stoney ridge farm i ain't afraid to learn [Music] times like this if you mess with my freedom i'll tell you just what you can kiss all right folks welcome back to the stoney ridge farm if this is your first time here please jump in pound the like button consider subscribing to the channel i'd love to have you back here this is a first generation farm and this is tool tuesday where we take a tool such as this cooler or a chainsaw or a lawnmower or a tractor or anything great big tools little bitty tools even tool restorations that's what tool tuesday is all about today's tool is something that will be used on the farm and used off the farm in several capacities so what we have here is called a lion cooler this is a battery powered cooler setup and currently the temperature in this battery-powered cooler is 29 degrees i have not had this cooler plugged into a wall outlet in more than 22 hours so all that's been running this cooler is the solar panel and the battery backup right here and we're gonna slide the battery out and show you guys how small and how compact all this is so this is the battery setup right here this is a 15 600 milliamp hour battery right here that charges up with the solar panel and or it will work with a standard electrical outlet or it will work in your cigarette lighter outlet in your car so this is a cooler for the man and or woman that's about town that's it's all over the place what i'll be using it for is keeping it in my little suv over here for delivering meat and eggs to different folks and or using it out on the beach or something like that so i took this cooler camping about two days ago when i went on a little vacation a mini vacation with my parents and up in the mountains and i left this thing sitting out in the hot hot sun with the solar panel going all day long and it continued to run all day long so the way this works is and we're going to show you the solar panel here in just a second that's a 90 watt solar panel it folds out and you put it right in the sun and it charges up the battery so we're at 24 degrees inside this cooler right now this has been sitting outside all day and all night so basically it's been sitting out here for close to 16 hours or so and it's still got plenty of charge left it's 10.6 volts left in it and the cooler is set at 24 degrees and it's running at 24 degrees i actually brought a temperature sensor right here just so we could shoot down inside the cooler and make sure we're getting the appropriate temperature that it says yep it says 26 degrees if you own a yeti cooler you got to put ice in a yeti cooler if you own a lion cooler you've eliminated the need to go buy ice i think that's even cooler than having a yeti that will keep ice i mean this will freeze things so i put a couple bottles of water in here and i left camp we went out for a mule train a wagon train ride and it froze the bottles of water and it wasn't even plugged up guys it just it froze them so super cool we're gonna open this guy up there's not a lot to show you uh in a in the world of a cooler so we've got wheels down right here we also have a handle that raises up so whether you're tall or short you can just tip this thing over and roll it out so if you're using it out on the beach or at a softball game or something like that super super cool we're turning around here you've got uh on the top of the cooler you've got a rubber mat right here it's a non-slip mat that you can put your cell phone on as you can tell it's not slipping well maybe not much two little cup holder spots you've got a pocket built in right here for your cell phone inside this bag i have the charger and it'll charge in three different ways plug into the wall plug in your cigarette lighter or the solar panel way way cool guys really really sturdy critter you also have a charging port up here on the top and you can adjust your temperature i think all the way down to like negative four degrees let's play with it we'll open her up again this is a line cooler i'll post a link down the video description for you guys and i think they're going to give me a coupon code we're developing a partnership with these guys because they make such an awesome product you can see how much room we've got in here it could easily fit i'm going to say two 12 packs in there maybe three 12 packs in there it's cooler up underneath here and this is a dc voltage low power consumption type compressor in here it doesn't drip any type of water or anything like that like you would expect you can see right here is the interface you've got a power port for charging your phone or whatever it is you need to charge and we're at 25 degrees and we are set to 25 degrees and you can back it off let's see how cold it will go that's the plus so you don't need to do that so negative four is the lowest that it'll go awesome let's just leave it on negative four and see what it does so we've got a voltage meter right here a little meter that tells you how much battery life that you have and you can go from eco mode which it's in right now and you hit this little wrench and you put it in max max mode so it's in max mode right now and it's going to start cooling down very very quickly in the max mode the cooler locks okay so there's a little locking mechanism right there you squeeze that up little latch right here it's cold in there man absolutely cold you have a drain plug down in here which is super super handy for rinsing out the cooler you don't need to put any ice in this cooler and you could actually make ice with this cooler you could fit probably two 18 packs in there so here's the solar panel set up and this it's like a little suitcase basically velcroed or hook and loop whatever you want to call it it's a 90 watt solar panel it will run the cooler and charge the battery at the same time very very cool you also have a storage pouch on here and little legs that pop out right there's one of the legs we're gonna go ahead and get this set up this storage pouch right here contains all the wiring for the solar panel and it's very very long so it's about 30 feet of cord so if you've got your cooler sitting in the shade you can leave it in the shade and put your solar panel out in the sun that's what we're going to do here's how this works you just pull those little feet out there's three of them point it towards the sun or towards the south if you're going to be away from camp all day and you want your stuff to stay cool put it out in the sunny spot point it towards the south and it's just that easy it's already set up ready to rock and roll here's our cord i'm told one of the things that makes this thing stand out is that you have an extremely long power cord for charging up let's go plug this in and see if it'll start charging our battery right there's a plug for the solar panel her in good to go you can see it's already starting to charge up and we went from 25 degrees to 18 degrees already just by changing the settings on this critter and it's been about two minutes not only do you have an indicator up here you also have an indicator right here as to how much battery strength you have left so our solar panel is there sitting up doing great and the cord is ran all the way over to here again you can put this in the back of an suv or a pickup truck unfold the solar panel on the roof and keep your beverages cool i think that's super awesome guys so that's it that's tool tuesday's tool for the day this is called a lion cooler i'll post a link down the video description i'd never seen anything like this and i had to show it to you guys so there it is thanks a lot guys please pound that like button if you have any questions please post them down there i'd love to answer any questions you might have this is the coolest cooler i have ever seen literally the coolest cooler i don't know anybody that has a cooler that'll take it down to negative four degrees that's awesome guys please pound that like button jump in subscribe the channel again you don't have to use just the solar panel you have the option of solar plug it into ac power or you can plug it into your cigarette lighter in your car so if you're going on a road trip and you don't want to fool with ice and stuff dripping off in your car bam right there is a solution it's not a yeti it's better than a yeti in my mind because you don't have to use ice awesome guys thanks a lot we'll see you next time on the stoney ridge farm down [Music] cool
