Sanding Profiled Edges with Sponges

What happens here

For profiled edges and intricate areas of the cabinet door, such as shaker style edges that a larger sander might damage, use specialized sanding sponges. The presenter demonstrates using a 1/2-inch open-cell sponge for general profiled edges and a closed-cell sponge (5mm or 10mm) for shaker style doors or areas where you don't want the sander to mar the surface. These sponges offer flexibility and allow precise sanding in hard-to-reach contours.
