What happens here
As clearly depicted in the video, this is the main action of securing the pavement edging. Workers are using a powerful, red electric stake driver (similar to a jackhammer with a specialized bit) to drive robust metal stakes through pre-drilled holes or designated slots in the black pavement edging. The stakes are hammered firmly into the ground, which appears to be a gravel or crushed stone base, until their tops are flush with or slightly below the top edge of the pavement edging. This process is repeated at regular intervals along the entire length of the edging (typically every 2-3 feet or as recommended by the manufacturer) to ensure maximum stability and prevent any lateral movement of the paved surface. The workers are seen wearing knee pads for comfort during the low-to-ground work, and gloves are also visible.
Goal: Secure the pavement edging by driving metal stakes into the ground
