Compact Pavers and Fill Joints with Polymeric Sand

Backyard pavers #diy
What happens here
Once all pavers are laid, spread polymeric sand evenly over the entire paved surface. Use a push broom to sweep the sand into all the joints between the pavers, ensuring they are completely filled. After sweeping, a hand tamper (or a plate compactor with a protective mat) should be used to make several passes over the entire patio. This vibrates the sand deeper into the joints and helps seat the pavers firmly. After compaction, sweep more polymeric sand into any remaining gaps. Finally, lightly mist the entire patio with water according to the polymeric sand manufacturer's instructions to activate the binding agents, which will harden the sand and lock the pavers in place.
Goal: Finalize the patio by compacting pavers and securing joints
