Amish Built Tiny Houses...A Tour of an Amish Log Cabin, Deer Blind Tiny House and Patio Retailer

hey guys it's josh tony rich farmer welcome to the farm vlog today we are in Millersburg ohio still in Amish country up here in the beautiful hills of Ohio near Dover Ohio and we stopped by a place yesterday it really caught my eye really caught my eye because we were looking to build a cabin what caught my eye first of all was the deer blind so I do a little bit of hunting on the farm and I stopped and I took some pictures of this deer blind that they have out front and we'll go up and look at that - we'll go up and look at all these different things that this place sells but I was really curious about log cabins and they have log cabin kits out back that are already constructed that you can purchase so I called this guy up I said hey I'm really curious about your log cabins and most of all I'm curious about telling my viewers about what you have and what you have to offer and they build this awesome furniture we'll go look at some of that - and we'll go back here in the back and look at these log cabins now these are custom built log cabins you can order them I've got a catalog we here some of the little kits that they have and we want to build a farm State we want a farm State cabin we don't want anything big and fancy we just want something big enough that we can entertain our family on the holidays I guess when they come in we can all cook and enjoy it just a recreational property and also a place where you can come and stay on the farm so if you're thinking about building a log cabin or buying a prefab log cabin or buying a kit this video is for you or if you're a hunter or if you have a patio with patio furniture these guys build custom patio furniture they build the cabins they build deer blinds they build playsets they've got all kinds of stuff you know and I'm just curious about Amish craftsmanship and I'm sure everybody else is too so I'm going to take you behind the scenes and talk to this guy about the Amish craftsmanship that goes into this stuff and just take you around and show you around this place so come on along today it's a beautiful day it's 52 degrees it's a day after Thanksgiving it's a beautiful place we're an Amish country were going to take it and show you some cool log cabins and some cool deer blinds and some cool patio furniture and just something I thought would be neat to share with you come on with me guys stuff's made out of in the sign here so this furniture is made of a synthetic material and you use all stainless steel fasteners it's really really nice really robust hey there who are you I like the wood colored stuff but if you've got like a beach property or something like that I think that's pretty cool too let's go check it out let's go sit in it it doesn't matter if it ain't comfortable nice I'm 6 foot 5 265 pounds and I'm comfortable this is nice if it fits me I know it'll fit a smaller person so that's the fellow we're gonna get an interview with right there he's really busy with customers right now but we're gonna go up check out the deer blind we're going to talk to them a little bit about the deer blinds and we're going to talk to them a little bit about the cabins and what all these things are built here on site is that I don't slump earners a sawmill that cuts into Sophia gotcha see there's a sawmill you come out and set them up on site okay cool so tell me about this deer blind you you guys do build this here on ok I guess what sets it apart is the quietest tightest windows on the market so I really can't wait to open these old ears right in front of you gotcha and when they slide they're just really really quiet nice cool and that's just a it's a plexiglass window nice so we got in these yesterday a little bit guys I messed around I took a bunch of pictures because I'm going to build some blinds on the farm but what what does one of these blinds run I guess what kind of cost there would be about 1,400 1,400 for the blind and that hit and then we take them out and build them for anyone if you take if we took them to Ventura in Michigan all over the country if you got a load it really pace you know yeah okay hundred twelve gotcha so you can buy ten or twelve of these and put them up on your hunting ranch or whatever okay cool and these are Oak Ridge brand okay so the signature brand is Oak Ridge yeah guys we went inside these are they're really cool I'll take you in real quick and we'll let him tell you about them I also have elevated at once okay you're up there so what is a tower like that cost to put on one of these okay so that's not too bad I wouldn't go in this one on old carpeting on the walls that's 50 year warranty on deciding it's like a smart site okay cool we'll just treat it to you know silent yeah silence light windows these are bull windows which are tall you can also get double windows for the rifle yeah if we're driving across cool cool and you have insulated floor insulation in the roof gotcha I saw one out there in a tower you can buy them a little bigger and put a trap door yeah these are the elevator ones come with trap doors okay unless you order was a sight during you also have the option to get in the stairway okay yeah the stairway look nice since definitely I hate to fall off that thing at night all right well let's go talk about your cabins a little bit what you got so imagine you're a deer it's not a good thing when that window opens buddy going down [Applause] so tell me about the cabin so we're really curious about a cabin well number one they're so tight you know there's just a real tight and they're real logs not just your Frant and then a lot of guys just do it frame them like a barn that's real long they're all killing Drive before and after treatment so it's like a tongue-and-groove log let me let me grab the camera and show so these are like a tongue-and-groove log guys come and check it out if you look right here this is the way the logs built and these are kits you can buy it as a kit or you can ship it to you just like this as long as it's what twelve foot wide is that what you said any twelve foot wide let's go inside and check it out this is like a little hunter's cabin I guess well the house has four windows and a loft and you can buy it look at this price guys sixty-eight hundred dollars and then 306 for an electrical package in there and we've got a loft up top and a good place you know you could put bunks and beds and have a nice little hunting cabin we want something a little bigger than this on the farm so we're gonna go look at a bigger one so you can get these things pre-wired okay guys and basically when they put it together they pre-drill all the holes for the electrical and they stub out stub out meaning leave a little stub for you to hook up your fixtures and stuff on there so you can get these either wired or not wired let's go look at a bigger one this big one we're getting ready to go into it's a what size 22 by 32 now can this be hauled no okay on my cellphone check check on my cellphone [Applause] it's the first time you've ever seen the Amish guy on the phone it's a good time nice big bathroom nice sauces and this furniture here do you guys build this here is it ok gotcha and this is locally handcrafted good stuff check out this bed guys really cool look at this really pretty so definitely right up our alley for the farm State when you ship this thing to another state ER there any any issues like taxes or anything like that or non-taxable you've gotta pay taxes on us and yourself ok gotcha gotcha no you never have any problems your there's school do you have like a set of plans that I can submit yeah we do have them that's extra part of blueprints ok stamp blueprints we have some generic ones that we made for other people ready guys you can use but you probably need a set of stamps for yourself if you've got you if you're gonna have to get a permit you're gonna have to do that gotcha so what we're looking at guys and everybody on the kit on the channel here probably already knows what we're looking at building a farm state cabin which this would be just perfect something we could enjoy with our family but we've got to have it inspected it'll be an addressed structure it'll have septic and well and and we will have something legal like we're supposed to because yeah you can do cool well let's let's walk back over here and take a look let's get back there here I always duck in the door because I think I'm gonna hit my head but I'm not here we are guys beautiful beautiful cabin this is kind of right up our alley so the size on this again is what's on now if I ordered this and you guys came and built it just like this what will we be talking about right ok gotcha and that include that's just the structure and then this is all the goodies Bumba dormer dormer windows thermopane windows so it has insulation in the roof and all that good stuff gotcha god sure it's warm and tight so guys there you have it that's what the cost is not a good information guys I just thought I'd show you a cool place that we stopped by here in Amish country and speak to an Amish man this is really the first Amish man's hand I've ever should so guys thanks a lot for joining us today I just saw this place I had to show it to you about buying a cabin I'll post a number to Coffman cabin that he showed me a minute ago he's a really busy guy he's got customers rolling in and out here all the time so I couldn't get a whole lot of his time we're really considering the purchase of one of these things or a kit cabin to build on the farm basically these kit cabins come with a set of instructions on how to build them and we'd build it for you we'd show you how it's done pretty neat I'm really excited about it don't you look pretty on the deck yeah so folks the next thing we need to do is we got to talk to our building inspector our local building inspector tell them about the cabin we got get some stamped blueprints from these folks and see if it's something that we're gonna do prefab cabin I don't know guys tell me what you think tell me what your thoughts are would
