recharge in 8 minutes from 0 to 100% the Cyber pack battery system is designed to charge in 8 minutes from a 4 amp hour or 11 aamp hour and it's also covered by a 6-year warranty or 3,000 life cycle so you're telling me that if this battery goes bad anytime before 6 years is up you'll replace it no questions asked no questions asked it's covered by the waranty what is this thing this is our cyber tank which is our DC to DC charger meaning to left on your landscape trailer which charges these batteries in 8 minutes no questions asked and you're never out of uh juice to be able to charge your batteries on the go so you really designed this so a guy could go out in the field with just two batteries work 24 hours a day 7 days a week and never run out of juice absolutely cuz you can't use the product faster than this uh battery will charge what's your warranty like though on the actual tool itself on the equipment itself is a three-year warranty and the equipment is all the handheld equipment from uh blowers handheld blowers to P saws to chainsaws backpack blowers edgers string trimmers everything that you need to get a crew up and running so this Backpack Blower here this actual battery that powers that will recharge in 8 minutes as well 8 minutes and 6-year warranty the equipment again comes with a 3year warranty as well and that's made by PR PR yes sir thank you sir all right so the first time I heard about this Tool company called Crest was actually two or 3 years ago when I walked into the cat Booth yeah cat cat like the construction equipment and they were talking about their battery system and that this one this battery system was in development and coming soon and it was going to completely revolutionize the battery powered Market but all right I got some he's got some Crest stuff that we got to unbox so I'm going to set you guys up on that and do a time lapse of unboxing a lot of this stuff see light to be light light in here here but yeah we got to unbox all this Crush stuff and then we got this Crush snow blower I put together cuz it literally had to be put together in order to get out of the box so oh but yep we got got all this I'm going to probably take them outside and do a test on May put that chainsaw together here but yep so that's what we're going to do [Music] today all right guys I've got Chad from Crest on the phone Chad can you just tell me what you do for Crest real quick yeah I sure can hi my name is Chad Bishop I'm senior product manager for commercial and Crest professional tools uh I help with the development process of the product and get it launched to Market okay earlier in the video Chad I showed your mega charger which does the 8 Minute recharging time but you have a total different options you got a lot of different options on ways that you can recharge and keep guys working out in the field and I've got a couple of them here will you just walk me through what I'm looking at as I'm looking at these things Chad absolutely as you talked about we've got our larger cyber tank option that we've talked about that's for you know that larger uh commercial landscaper out in the marketplace who's away uh from the shop and needs to have that constant power for all day so we've got that option for him but you know it's really about price as well so we've got multiple options we've got a smaller charger there in front of you that is an 8 Amp dual Port charger uh that's good for the smaller batteries and it's really a good price point and then when you look beside them we've got the the 2 30 amps so if an end user is not really wanting to you know put the investment into the Cyber tank we've got an option for them so you've got a 30 amp charger for charging your your larger and smaller batteries on and then we also have our cyber light that is our on thego charging system uh what you do is you charge your larger batteries at night right there in front of you you got the KAC you got the KAC 815 which is our 25 amp hour cyber capsule you charge that during the night you put it on the Cyber light and then you charge your smaller batteries throughout the day when you're going from job site to job site off of that larger battery so as I'm looking at this if I need to understand this real uh correctly this is your least expensive charging option right here then here's your next level charging option and this is designed to allow you to charge two batteries simultaneously is just like the other one but faster right correct and then once and and then you charge basically if You' got to go on the go you take this white battery you charge that one up and so you plug it into the Cyber light and then from there you can recharge these red batteries or these silver batteries but now there is a difference between those batteries itself these silver batteries do not recharge in 8 minutes but the red ones will recharge in 8 minutes it even says 8 Minute cyber system on it but that is when you have them working in conjunction with your big charger is that correct that's correct so the Cyber packs the ones that are red that say 8 Minute charger they're they charge fast on the larger cyber tank okay now uh what is the warranty and what's the tell me about your tools as well because you have you got a six-year warranty on the batteries but you have a three-year warranty on the tools so you're kind of bass awards from a lot of guys you have a lot of confidence in your batteries right AB and that's what we did when we developed this program is like we stand behind our battery because what we wanted to do is work on the no downtime workflow optimization so we're not forcing you to buy you know batteries zero a year so with ours and the life cycles that we have we have 3,000 life cycles compared to some of our competitors you know 500 to a, maybe 1500 so our batteries are going to last longer before they start to degrade so that's the beauty about our six-year warranty and then on our tools when you look at a lot of competitors there's one year two years ours are three years and so we want to make sure that we're standing behind this Crest product because we really you know we know the importance of no downtime when it comes to these commercial landscapers okay so your tools are also rated to an ip5 standard will you tell tell me about that real quick Chad yeah so it's like I just want to sendle it down a little bit so you know typically you see a lot of ipx4 which it goes back to waterproof versus water resistant so when you think about an ipx4 that from that's like protection from like water splashes coming on the tool but then when you get to ipx5 that's like a full water jet spray uh on your tool so it can take more water coming to the tool and it's not going to damage it so that's that's that's really important because especially for Comm commercial landscapers you know down in Florida and places like that where they always get an afternoon shower they don't have to stop cover up the tools they can continue to still work so one of the things too is 3,000 life cycles is what the batteries are rated for doesn't mean they're shot does it mean that they're just down to 80% is that right Chad once you get that threshold you know we talk about life cycles so it's like you get to that threshold of like that uh life cycle once you go past that that's where it starts to De degrade and never get back to 100% so then you get back down to 80 so that's when you start to lose Integrity of the battery so but but you're not throwing the batteries out you're only able to charge them up to 80% you're not losing anything else and just your fuel tanks diminished a little bit absolutely okay that's a good way good analogy of looking at it what do we got Zach aroni uh we have a 10t pull saw okay uh we got little climbing chainsaw chainsaw yep uh your battery whatever connector thing they don't recommend that with that no do not tether yourself with a chainsaw and then oh jeez look at this nice a commercial version of that I don't know what the difference is between their commercial and residential all right we got your that's a brush cutter so this is the heavy duty bicycle brush cut either head the other the head's right behind you they they send you a both heads the normal weed whacker head and then the the brush cutter oh so you picked the good one that's the good one we want two of them right here so why do we need three right okay okay and then we've also got a snowblower too uh yeah pudding edging that's the only thing I can think of uh we should actually the two batteries on the trailer there are fully charged have snow before it melts away yeah look at what it it takes two two big batteries two these B big things but they give you four when it comes with it oh they're not chintzy on batteries but I don't know if that's how it comes out straight out of the box or if that was something they sent for put them in let's see let's see what it looks like so crack the lid open instructions uh Shear bolts and whatnot you might need that battery battery H okay well let's see how she does [Music] that's your uh uh your rabbit and this is your speed huh that ramps up on the thr pretty decent right don't let's fire this up yeah your safety feature you got to push forward to pull back this is not enough snow to do a test so we decided to shovel a bunch of snow up out of the driveway which in turn had a whole bunch of rocks mixed into it but it's better than nothing so let's do that Beaver I like I like how this handle once you put it down and you engage the augur or yeah you're good you don't have to keep holding it now you can take your nose you wipe the the boers off your mustache while you're blow she's got some distance like the like we're we're going almost to the fox cage with some of those rocks oh yeah she'll throw it he all right we got the CR commercial weed whacker or for this motor 60 volt Max push the button here control right here I know if you're seeing them or not well minimal maximum we're going to go maximum and clear out some of this smaller I was taking out stuff that Wasing PL too she got power yeah see how thick that stuff is going through that with this whatever Lon is in there now I'm going to go grab the brush one and find the SP where we can clear some brush all right so I was setting away the brush cutter and uh just set it on the ground with the battery on it and she's freestanding just sitting on the battery freestanding perfectly balanced which is shocker I've never really seen that before all right we're going to test the chainsaw here all right got our small little chainsaw here you got your brck stop here hold your button here here here then you got three safeties you got to click this up and this down and then that instant power though all right instead of me rambling let's get to cut some trees camera man this thing has power and this chain is sharp but all right I think that's enough of the Chainsaw stuff we're losing light here so that is as I bounce the camera around and make everyone sick the crest commercial um I think top handle I'm thinking I'm not sure what it's called I I can't remember that yeah there's two different types I think this is top handle but yeah she cuts through this stuff pretty good well really fast actually but also brand new chain brand new saw basically brand new battery never been used with anything else so that can go either way but she has power but all right we're LS and light I got to get one more thing done which is what I was talking about is doing the EDG or you if feel punch through this ground and that'll be it for our day all right we have crust commercial edger here let's see if she'll go through concrete's Harden ground you got same as the weed whackers you got your different power settings so oh and then she turns off right away if you're not using it just so that way you save power you don't accidentally hit the trigger and hurt yourself but all right let's go outside and see if we can do something turn it on wow and I'm off the driveway too that's a lot of sparking that just goes to show that our ground is hard as concrete right now with ice so I don't think that did Justice but I think we'll have to test this come springtime so all right that's it we're out of light it's dark it's only like five o'clock because Midwest likes to get dark real quick come before uh what's it daylight savings but that's it for this video uh you guys let me know what you think um you know my two senses battery tools are a great option especially if you live someplace like California or Minnesota my home state where they're thinking about eliminating gas entirely it was actually on the records that by 2025 it was supposed to be completely eliminated from outdoor power equipment I still hope I sure hope they're not following through on
