A neat little trick that a Pro Painter Taught Me! #painting
What happens here
For wooden pier posts that sit on stone or concrete bases, cut pieces of cardboard to fit snugly around the base of each post. Create a slot in the cardboard so it can wrap around the post without leaving gaps. This acts as a barrier, preventing wood stain from getting onto the non-wooden surfaces and keeping them clean.
Goal: Prevent stain from touching stone/concrete pier post bases.
