A Look at Specialized Heavy equipment for Waste handling-loaders, excavators, & garbage trucks

What happens here

The presenter then moves on to discuss the waste industry, mentioning that Volvo has been a key player for about 20 years. He highlights their specialized equipment for applications like asphalt and dirt work. John, another Volvo representative, joins to discuss how Volvo specifically addresses the pain points of the waste industry with purpose-built offerings. He introduces the LC450H, emphasizing its 90,000 lbs weight and specialized compactor wheels with 'Terra Twist Torque' cleats that twist and break down trash to aid compaction. John also explains that the machine features heavy-duty guarding, including 2-inch thick steel belly pans to protect the center pin, and swing-down pans for easier service access to components like the transmission and fuel tank. The air intake for the engine is positioned high to prevent debris entry.
