(17,843 characters)we got a pretty full show for you today cuz we're gonna be learning about these units right here and showing them in action so what are we waiting for let's do this thing you guys look what showed up on my site nice to meet Chris Chris how you doing today good are you good good to me yeah okay so we've got three of them that we're gonna be looking at today is this a commercial unit or a residential yep this would be a commercial unit it's our pearl model really I guess the other three that has the smallest stump grinder I've seen ever it depends on the application or what your commercial application is if you only do stumps yeah this is probably too small of a unit for you okay but if you're the guy that has a commercial tree care and you occasionally get a couple stumps to take out okay this is where you'd want to be okay [Music] very cool all right well we need to actually see these in action and how each one of these operates can we fire all three of them up yep all right let's do this thing let's go grind some stumps getting this fabric pulled back so it doesn't potentially ramp up in the rotor so you guys see this stuff this is what he's talking about this is what we're removing right now you got nails in your stump man don't just don't don't grind them up thinking it's going to be okay because you just damaging your machine this dump took you about 15 minutes to grind up would there be a big time savings if guys went with a bigger unit because that's your smallest one yep this is our smallest one so yeah you jump up to the next size the extreme fifty to sixty percent increase and how quickly can get that done the extreme to the pro you get another thirty eight percent efficiency or productivity increase going to the parole it all comes down to the horsepower of the engine you could tell us I was working on that stump sometimes it really pulled down yeah that's what you have to do as you're running these is just listen to that engine see where your rpms are at and just adjust accordingly okay so one of the things to notice you guys is it's got fine chips versus the banana peels right yep once you start working in towards the center of a tree and due to the horsepower of this unit can't take as big of a bite and you end up with a lot finer of chip of ground material coming off is quite a bit finer so that's what these guys should expect when they go with a smaller unit smaller horsepower higher rpm they've got to take smaller bites to get through the log it's gonna take them longer but they're saving on the initial investment maybe that's right for them we got to find another stump is that one's told [Music] we've got cutouts in the trailer as well as cutouts in the body of the stump at Anu and a custom chalks level you run the stump grinder up right up against it we've got rubber in two spots you're not rubbing metal or metal what year was this model built uh a couple months ago so 2019-20 that when is it gonna be released August 1 ok August 1 so that's when you guys will be able to probably preorder it what's the penet of purchase price of it do you know the pro model I believe this one is $39.99 that's a pretty affordable unit in the world of stump grinders that run up to twenty thirty thousand dollars this isn't your everyday tool that's making you money and it's a secondary tool this isn't a bad way to go is that a Honda engine or what is that Honda gas it's the 390 CC with a cyclonic air filter aha cyclonic air filter so do you want to explain that to those guys cuz this is so cool yep so thus iconic air filter is all about the air quality that is being introduced to the engine so the cleaner you keep that air the better running the engine is and the longer to last right so the cyclonic actually spins it right yep and then it catches the larger pieces in these three don't underneath here okay that's where those pieces get caught all right well let's pull her off let's put her to work [Music] alright guys so we're gonna be actually comparing and contrasting three different units so if these guys are in the market to pick up a stump grinder Chris you're gonna walk us through the different features of all of these and help these guys kind of hone in which ones right for them yep we had a small medium large it's our ace model our extreme model and our pro model okay starting with the smallest is the ace and the biggest difference among the three is that it's the smallest and it's running a Briggs and Stratton XR Professional Series engine okay we're at six and a half fours 208 CCS so question why didn't we go with honda for all of them comes down to price point I wanna have that the difference in the market you know as far as having different options it just puts you at about six and a half horse power 6 and a half horse price point for something like this do you know this one I believe is 29.99 so $29.99 the next feature up will be this one at the extreme I believe outs at 3499 and $39.99 for the parol what's common to all of them Chris I mean what are the basics that these guys are getting every single one of these belt drive with centrifugal clutch on all three yep okay well it allows them to start sitting on the ground just like they are now you can start them let that engine warm up once it's warm you get to the stump then you can engage that rotor and start going to work on grinding the other thing that's common is the teeth that we have on them so we're running dream teeth carbide-tipped the two bigger models come with we're sharp teeth over the course of time as they wear they tend to self sharpen as opposed to the other two options of teeth unless they just totally Kip out right right and at that point it's easy enough 1/2 inch wrench take the nut off there's a spacer the tooth comes out at the bottom and the life of the tooth will be dependent on the grinding conditions you're in and the depth to be the material right exactly from the dirt to the rocks to the actual type of tree that you're working on yep these really aren't that hard on them trees just slowly wear them down rocks destroy em yep so no matter what stump grinder you're using out in the market just avoid rocks dirt the dirt the dirt yep the other common feature is the adjustable handlebar now this has a 5/5 position no that's kind of isn't that unique to you guys yeah having the multiple adjustment positions is unique probably our biggest feature definitely sets the Society's handle fully collapsible for storage so nobody else does that but there are a couple out there but it's definitely not common that they fold over so like how many adjustable positions does a handle typically have that typically for the ergonomics dive it's a couple of positions some don't offer any adjustment okay so none none - two or three right the other thing is the brake that's on the left wheel you get in position for that stump and this is your grinding action it's a left to right that left wheel stays locked okay so you manually move the stump grinder it's some some of the bigger units the commercial units have the heads that rotate for you right is this soft propelled no okay so this is a push model so so if you've got to get into a situation just you know rough terrain put good boot on the other option is and this is the model that we talked about has a couple of the additional accessories on it what you'll see is that we've got this mounting bracket so if you buy the tow bar kit option oh well he can pull these pins and you designed all this Chris yep how long have you been in the stump grinding world snow finder project has been able to last 14 15 months okay I've been in the ultra power equipment now for seven or eight years so how long you been an engineer for seven or eight years coming up on ten years coming up on ten years yep you look like you're 12 I got to give him a little crap I mean he should probably know if he's coming into my neck of the woods he's gonna be giving crap right so it's got a really cool attachment that you can hook up behind a four-wheeler you could total card lawnmower like a riding lawnmower okay not easy nice we do you know they're five miles an hour and under you know we don't have the suspension for the machine to handle that I was just gonna say you have zero ground clearance so can you lift that up and put it in towing position yep so depending on the height of your you know what hitch you're going to that's gonna limit how much gone currents you have right so just be careful you guys common sense man I know it's not as common as you think but don't wreck your brand-new machine this is actually pretty nice unit Chris let's get into specifics now we know they've all kind of got the same what features they have in common let's get very specific let's go with the ACE unit right here on this unit we're running a 10-inch diameter cutting path okay we're on the larger two are out fortunate okay so these two have 14-inch cutting path and common with them and that's the size the diameter of the wheel we're making up for the lack of horsepower with rpm the ACE is running out 4000 rpm out the rotor the extreme we're running at 3100 and the parol running at 2,900 rpm okay so you slowed the RPM down because you've got more horsepower what's the horsepower on the extreme on the extreme we're running a 270 Honda engine on that and I believe we're sitting at I think it's eight and a half or nine horse so you got a pretty substantial jump up in horsepower from that one and then when we go to the pro unit yup and then the pro you're at the 390 cc Honda and there you're sitting out of a full force 12 horsepower okay big jump up one of the things that I want to point out is the extreme and the pro model both have the cyclonic air cleaner which is important your ace unit does not have that feature on it correct so these guys are familiar with these but maybe they're looking at somebody else's you know what should they look for so that they can get compare apples the apples and echo to somebody else big part of it is our optional accessories that we have available for these three machines one way already touched on is the optional toolbar for around your yard another one that's installed here is the side flap kits just want to each side that gets bolted on with the addition of the rubber flaps on each side so if you're in somebody's yard you want to make sure it's a contain the chips the best you can we also offer again for the commercial guy of the rental place we have a manual holder kit that we can add on okay so you can keep the manual with that you can also keep a couple wrenches extra teeth so we also have an optional our meter you can see that tucked in underneath here oh you have it on here or in the middle of I didn't even know you had it hooked up already yep okay another one that we've touched on is the teeth the standard is the wire sharp on the two larger units you can also get a green tooth and a red tooth and it just depends on the type of soil you're in we also have our Durotar kit which are flat for your foam filled tires yeah that's actually a really nice option especially for this kind of work we touched on this I think kind of in the opening is this optional trailer as well so you really can almost build your own is that really kind of what you're saying to me is like you can start with a Barrett wheel at the bare-bones unit and then you can you know add or subtract to create a machine that fits your needs yep exactly yep what happens if these guys go down you have replacement parts available Chris yep when it comes to the metal components we make those in-house so those can be made and sold when it comes to the weld nut the handle bars those pieces when it comes to purchase components we have bearings for the wheels we have rebuild kits for the clutches Springs and shoes are included in that kit to rebuild the clutch brake cable we have that broken down into a couple components instead of buying the whole cable you can buy this pieces of it nice so throughout the project I took a look at all the numbers and we have over 1500 hours of machines on test stands going through different tests that we do to make sure that it meets our requirements all right so now we're going to the xtr are you gonna work any differently you've got bigger engine about 270 cc's versus the 208 you gotta be able to move a little bit faster across the stump and you should be able to take a little bit deeper of a bite yeah but you'll take a little bit bigger of a cup with if that extra horsepower okay and it is a bigger stop so we'll see how she handles it let's fire it up and go for it guys drift as the xtr model running right now this is the next size up from the ACE model one of the things you can notice right away it's night and day faster than the smaller units there's a lot bigger stop crisps and you still wrapped it up faster with this unit then the smaller unit did with the smaller style it really just comes down to that horsepower just added horsepower you can really maintain that rpm through the full suite so you're not bogging down as much you don't have to feather quite as much yep exactly so let's look at your wood chips they still look pretty fine to me probably more towards the outer edge got some of those bigger chips but yeah when you get into the middle of them a lot smaller finer cut so you really got to make a feel you can't just Ram these things right into a stop and expect them to go the way I explain it is kind of grind by feel really don't look and notice I'm not peeking over the edge of the whole time trying to see where I'm at it's more of just the continual motor and just feel how you're grinding I think we're done with this one let's go on to the next one the two-headed monster stomp so let's show these guys Chris some of the things not to do so that they don't go into biting off more than they can chew and getting in trouble a couple things one is the height of this hump is really tall and then you drop all the way down to get at the top of that stump you're exceeding the engine manufacturers angle for soft safe operation that's a tall stump you don't wanna take a chance to take the top of that off what happens if you tilt the too far back you're not gonna get sufficient oil to the engine or what's the deal you're not gonna throw the hole and don't have a tipped back at an extreme angle what about operator safety I would imagine that you're gonna be kicking chips and stuff pretty far tilting that far back and set up the chips coming back you're gonna be sending them down and at that point then they could bounce and keep going even farther another thing to always do is to use this break felt that break is some kind of could have the potential to want to climb forward and go across the stump and pull you into it so you want that break blocks to keep you in place and while that pivoting motion with the double headed monster like this thing is there anything else you got to do to really get ready for it that I walked around and just look at what was in the vegetation around it to make sure there's no landscape bricks or rocks hidden that are laying in underneath the greenery here so in a big stuff this unit can handle it but it's not uncommon for you to readjust multiple times around it right yeah yep so for a stump like this we'd probably work on two-headed monster work on one hat at a time start here take this one off and then reposition another thing with big stumps like this is they'll produce a lot of chips yeah so it'll be necessary to take a break grab a rake pull those chips back out of the way so you can keep moving in closer on the stump we're gonna grind this one down right yep all right just need to move some of the chips out of the way so you can reposition look at the size of these chips this is really a reflection of horsepower and the ability to take a bigger bite in the stump this bigger bite also means increased productivity and faster speed of completion on your job site right yep so that's it kind of a big deal if these guys are going to be looking at which unit to buy for their own all good things to consider breaking a flat add into it he probably weighs less than the piece of equipment he's running all right let's wrap the two-headed monster up so that right there is the hardest part so guys we have looked at all three of these units there's quite a difference in power that power leads to what a dramatic improvement on performance and I think we showed that today I want to say thanks to Chris for coming out appreciate it buddy you said something down there that I said I wanted you to tell these guys what was it yep so we we've been making some renders before this is a new design of some grinders and I think we're gonna learn a lot in this first year of getting these out there get the feedback from the customers or just you know minor improvements here and there to make it even better for the customer okay so in you're the engineer how do they get a hold of you yep so they can get a hold of our service department so go to pair cap products com use the contact form so these guys are using this and abusing it and run them into it and they see any little tweaks you'd like to hear that right love to do that feedback that's the kind of engineer we want guys because the engineers that listens is the ones that make better products okay now the videos over okay that was a great point and now check out these videos right here god bless you guys go get them and hey if it wasn't for these guys coming all the way down from North Dakota and sponsoring this video and helping me put this together it wouldn't have happened so show some some love to these guys bear care products calm you down [Music]
