What happens here

Once the first course of blocks is perfectly set, apply a continuous, even bead of construction adhesive along the top surface of each block in the laid course. This adhesive acts as a strong bonding agent, securing the next layer of blocks and enhancing the overall stability of the wall. Carefully place the next course of rectangular concrete blocks directly on top of the adhesive, ensuring they are properly aligned with the course below. Continue to use a spirit level to verify the levelness and alignment of each newly placed block and the entire course. Adjust blocks as necessary with a rubber mallet. Repeat this process, applying adhesive and stacking blocks, for all subsequent courses until the desired height of the retaining wall is reached.

Goal: Build up the retaining wall to the desired height with securely bonded layers.
