What happens here
Take the new oil filter (ACDelco PF1127) and apply a thin film of fresh engine oil to its rubber gasket. This helps ensure a proper seal and makes future removal easier. Carefully thread the new filter onto the engine by hand until it's snug. Then, tighten it an additional 1/2 to 3/4 turn (or as specified by the manufacturer), being careful not to overtighten. Use an oil funnel to pour approximately 7 quarts of new 20W-50 O'Reilly Motor Oil into the engine's oil fill port. The manual stated a capacity of 7.4 quarts for this engine type.
Goal: Replace the oil filter and replenish the engine with fresh oil.
