2 very Different toro Snowblowers tested in 2 very different storms

good morning you guys some new snow blowers showed up and i honestly don't have a clue what they are it's a big box all right let's get her opened up what the oh i couldn't do that if i tried how do you get a knife to stick on the wrong that's how sharp a milwaukee is how about that for oh my god yeah i tried to do that huh and if you believe that too i got some oceanfront property in arizona i could tell you oops it's a little box 60 volt cordless power shovel come on you like crinkle and plastic okay i thought the whole thing was gonna turn all right you guys gotta give me a break wider pass wider grins cool powermax hd 1030 oh ae hand warmers self-propelled triggerless steering what nice let's look at this let's see let's look at the some of the stuff i'm spotting right away extension cord goes in there hit your button and you're in business we got a choke here or throttle sorry throttle here what do we got here safety key i'm gonna guess primer here's your choke oh here's your instructions too let's see one move it that way two hit this big button three times three what is that oh okay i don't know what three is four pull that lever five un-choke still don't know what three is i'll figure it out all right let's put the handles on button oh that's my favorite symbol heat hand warmers that's gonna be very nice very nice ah okay let's see what this does nothing because i don't have it hooked up yet so let's do that now okay so this mystery object actually controls your drive speed oh there's a bucket how convenient this thing has to go away so i think we connect yep that makes sense and it fits we've got to insert the rod we're just doing it we're going in all right all righty yeah we'll put it over here with the rest of my collection of odd and interesting palettes nice bonus all right guys let's go looks like it's got oil wouldn't that be terrible if it didn't and i'm like yeah it's good run it sure can love these few cans good crap anyway i'm just kidding all right guys let's fire it up for the first time here's the startup procedure this is number one your safety key goes in number two prime it which i did when i after i filled it number three put her in choke so she's in choke number four four pull and number five on choke it well i'm just gonna plug it in i'm cheating i'm gonna do it that way let's give her a little juice see what happens all right see if she pops oh that's nice i like that button oh you can feel it let's show you what we're working with though look at sticks all right so it's two stage this is considered the first stage right here and this what it does is it brings it into the chute the second stage is right here and that flings it up and out some of them have a third stage that's inside of the chute which will help eject it even further now these have what's called shear pins right here there's bolts like you can see right there those are designed to break if you hit a piece of concrete or something instead of this whole thing bending and breaking this bolt will snap and it's a pretty easy bolt to fix you pop a new bolt in put a new nut on it and you're back in business this unit has one there and one right here and that's it so it has failure points i've never actually snapped a sheer pin to be quite honest with you and you would think i would look at some of the stuff this that's what this is going up against look at it and it's not having any problems but we're going to save these leaves if mother nature collaborates for a really cool but i actually brought all these yes i brought leaves in my house i have all these trees but it just wasn't enough leaves for what i want to do that's in a future video let's crack that son of a duck open ding ding ding don't do the 60 volt cordless oh we got a battery to charge up shut the front door that's not pot did you guys i'm not joking i did not practice this i did that what the flip a second time a second no way holy crap all right battery let's get that charging let me make this pretty simple can we do it no what the f oh man all right this is getting stupid that's three out of four times that's my new throwing technique that's the dirt monkey knife handling technique i've now termed it it's now a uh it's now uh gonna be on the national night throwing circuit as a viable way of sticking a knife into a box that's the polish way of doing it because now if you accidentally bump yourself you're guaranteed to bleed the way it's supposed to come all right okay they say you're supposed to put it right there so let's just do what they say i've met the toro engineers they kind of know what they're doing i'm gonna cheat a little easier hey a little easier than that heck all right well it's time to test this thing out and i think this will be a good test this is pretty compacted that's my roof that's what it came from so let's see if it can handle it boy it goes through the lighter stuff no problem [Music] all right before we time-lapse it let's just give you an idea where we're going standard regular shovel all right guys i want to go live so you can hear this thing because it's kind of like a little mighty powerhouse and uh just listen to it run for a minute this is some pretty nasty sweat stuff we got here kind of icy sleety stuff but watch [Music] this is throwing snow almost out to my barn that's kind of nuts i don't know if you guys can see that let's go right here watch how far this throws the snow [Music] all right you know what let's let's see how far that actually is now from the top of my deck i've got three foot paces so here's one two three four five six seven eight nine ten so about 30 feet so this is throwing it from here to there about 30 foot for a little tiny handheld snow whatever you wanna i don't know what they call it what you guys probably want to know the toro power shovel 60 volt max boom all right oh there's one right there in fact we're in frankie's house that's what we call it all right you know what you guys why don't you guess what's under this tarp that might be kind of cool i promise you eventually you will find out but not today not today all right guys i wanted to release this video a long time ago but i didn't really feel like the snowstorm that i had to work with earlier was sufficient i even tried to snow blow leaves but that just didn't feel right so we waited until we had a little bit more snow so let's see if she'll fire up and see what she does now that we've got something on the ground [Music] all of this deck was shoveled into two piles one there and one over there let's see how it does on that stuff and it sat for a while so it's definitely throws in place getting it up on the deck might be more of a problem than getting the snow off the deck in fact i'm 99 sure that's probably gonna be it all right you guys real quick before we get started on this big pile of snow there's something i want to show you about with the the chute controller look at this so you click push that down she moves however you want it let go and she pretty much locks in place i know like some of you guys are like well my snowblower from 1793 does that well that's awesome because uh this one does too [Music] all right but we still got a bunch of stairs to do let's go easier if i hadn't walked on the snow [Music] so i think we can put this away for the year don't you i think mother nature is preventing weeds on its own right now that's not an ad for them i don't know how well that works or doesn't work my wife likes all right you guys i'm gonna wrap up this snow plowing video snow blowing video because tomorrow we got three to eight inches of snow starting in the morning and i'm gonna try to make a video where we put the new boss back drag they got a new 180z and boss completely completely redesigned this snow plow from the ground up this backdrag plow it is built like a tank and everything that we've tested so far this has been the best best bass best backdrag plow that i've seen yet but i want to see just how good it is in comparison to an arctic sectional pusher and a head-to-head contest wouldn't that be cool what can win a truck with a 16 foot back plow or a skid loader with a 16 or so man i don't know if we're going to use a 17 or 15 we don't have a 16 foot arctic sectional but with a pretty dang close arctic sectional so we're going to put them head to we're gonna get ready to do that in one of one of the upcoming videos and that's all we got for you today god bless you guys go
